I decided to keep my collection of these figs MOC but I promised the kiddos we were going to open them, so...I'm going to have to start finding two of each. No better way to start than with the droids......today's second arrival of these, eBay.

At some TRU locations, apparently yes. Not all participating locations have all three figures, they might later they might not. Online the only current option is the WB eBay store, I bit the bullet and ordered mine through them.

Thanks, ESN :) Unfortunately, I misreported Batman as having batusi hands, as I hadn't opened the package yet and was going off the back of the box, which reuses the same pics from the 18 incher. Sorry guys!

Thanks for that accessory update, kinda sucks but still really cool that these are happening at all. I know that the description of the Joker says he comes with his knife, pistol, and machine gun and then Superman just has swap off open hands. I just checked and yeah the description only says that Batman has two sets of hands so it's just that image on the back that may be misleading.

Yeah, it also led me to believe he'd have double jointed elbows, but I much prefer the ball-jointed ones, since they look better aesthetically! And you still get the batarang and bat-radio! (Kinda makes me want the Mattel accessory pack for him...)

TimothyR 10-29-2015 04:38 PM

Picked up joker from another toys r us in my area.. They had the joker and batman, I didn't see superman.

When the 89 Batman hit, there were a ton of horribly painted eyes and symbols,I'm not taking a chance online,I'll wait to find them at TRU.

For what it's worth all of the scalper listed ones on eBay that I've seen have good eyes (mainly I've seen the Joker). I think the Batman may have been a rushed production which is why there were consistent reports of paint errors.

Picked these guys up @ TRU and did my best raf impression. I love Heath ledgers joker, what a shame he died so young.

I don't think Reeves is shipping in the initial assortment :( Our store got one box in with four Batmen, four Jokers, and four each of those oversized Heroclix statues (who wants to bet those'll be keeping the pegs nice and toasty warm?)

Oh ok, good info. Thx!

En Sabah Nerd 10-29-2015 08:21 PM

I'm also not seeing any of the Reeve Superman on eBay (except for the official listing) so either he's not shipping to stores yet (like Arbor said) or for some reason the scalpers aren't touching him, I would hope that he makes his way to some TRU shelves too.

Maybe the PTB are hoping that inattentive shoppers will grab them by mistake.

Glad to see everyone's been able to find the new NECA figures. Kinda pisses me off actually, not because you guys are finding them, but because plain and simply put, my local TRUs blow. Neither one of them ever got Keaton Batman last year at all, and I sure as hell know I will never see any of these either. Disappointing, because I really dig that Reeves Superman, and still want Keaton Batman if I ever get around to it, QC issues and all.

I really just wish that stores would ease off of exclusives, especially when it comes to retailers with less than stellar track records like TRU and Walmart. It's really starting to zap the fun out of the game. Had they made these Gamestop, Hastings, Amazon, or Walgreens exclusives, I would have hope. But seeing the word exclusive with "TRU" or "Walmart" right in front of it seriously makes me want to mail a box of my feces to the company providing said exclusives.

Finally got my hands on the last two 3.75" I was looking for, thanks to a friend (Phasma) and Walgreens (Kylo).

3.75" The Force Awakens...unless you come out with some bad ass vehicle, or I finally cave and grab that speeder bike, it's been fun. And I'm out...

I'm just surprised that in Tucson, your TRU will be so outdated compared to my TRU in a city that's not even very well know here in Texas.

Seriously...if I walked you through our two local stores on a tour, you would be embarrassed, or think that we're some backwoods city in the middle of nowhere. One of the stores was split in half, the other half being turned into a Babies R' Us, and is loaded with so much peg filler junk that it's a cluttered mess. They also seem to think that TRU should be called Legos R' Us, because Lego's have literally infiltrated into all sections of the store, from the Star Wars section to the Barbie aisle...and that's on top of the 2 or 3 aisles Lego already fills.

The second TRU store is not only a drive away to the other side of town, but it is across the street from the most packed mall here in Tucson, in which people regularly come up from Mexico and Nogales in order to do their shopping. You can literally find more cars with Sonoran and Sinloan tags in the parking lot than you can US tags on any given day. The store itself is always trashed with lots of empty wasted space due to the consumer traffic, and in addition, it carries entirely different items (for example, it's the only TRU that carries NECA figures) than the other store closer to me. Making it even worse...there is a locally run toy shop in the mall right across the street, which routinely sends it's employees over every day bright and early to pilfer what goods do come in, so they can mark up to scalper prices. I have seen them walk out of the store literally with full cases of items, some of which have been specifically put aside by management for them. If you are not at that store 15 minutes before they open, or know somebody, you're gonna have a hard time finding anything you are looking for.

K Dubious 10-30-2015 06:57 AM

There are a couple of LCS in KY that did that same thing. Had deals worked out with Target and Hot Topics to put aside new cases and anything hitting clearance bins.

I heard that the target store would let the LCS "exchange" MU/MI figures so when a new case comes out, the LCS would bring in its dead stock and pull all the new figures and one per case figures form the new waves. I hate this so much, the icing on the cake is that one LCS told me about the others tactics and in no time THEY were the one pilfering the Hot Topic's stash...

Had a pretty satisfying day of hunting !
The TRU in my area is awful, and totally hit-or-miss when it comes to exclusives, so I was relieved to find the Snowtrooper Officer.

http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...psbjdapx7e.jpg

Wave 2 of the Ep. VII 6" Black series hasn't really hit my area in large quantities yet, but I was lucky enough to spot Poe at a GameStop.

Here's another addition to my Frightful Four collection, but it's a bittersweet addition, since my Frightful Four line-up will continue to feel incomplete until Hasbro releases a Wizard figure :p

And, the Simpsons' family sedan.

For those of you interested in the new NECA Adam West Batman and Heath Ledger Joker figures (and there seem to be quite a few who are), TRU has a sale this weekend where the figures are 50% off with the purchase of certain DC DVDs !

I nearly overlooked these figures, because they were on the Blu-Ray / DVD aisle, beneath a big promotional display.
