Yeah I use that one as well but since I wasn't directing the comment on major storylines to solely Marvel comics I was using the 'unbiased' wikipedia ;)

Scored two comic series Skrulls movie Hawkeye and BW at tru. Pegs were pretty full, i was really tempted to buy up all of the skrulls though.

Spidey line is $7.47 a fig there... I'm not sure what Target is charging, none by me have done anything in their toy section since March. For the Ultra Poseable that's pretty solid... it's as articulated as anything MU.

Cool man. I figured target since all the walmarts ive been to only had series 1 and heard target was getting mainly series 2 in.. ill prolly end up getting the lizard. Dnt kno why but willand for sure that spidey.. i have black widow hawkeye and a skrull coming from another member.. just gota look for some more skrulls.

Nexodusrex 05-25-2012 11:20 AM

just putting this out.
I'll take an Avengers Series 2 Skrull if any of you have one available. going to turn it into Superskrull

How many Widows and Hawkeyes did they have? Don't worry, I'm not going to ask you to go get me one,.. just hoping there's more than 1-2 per restock.

..that's what I thought. I was at this WM yesterday and all they had was the comic series 1 stuff.. went over today hoping for some Black Widow (Avengers pegs were looking very bare yesterday) and there was the Utra Poseable Spidey, Lizard, and Avengers restock.

Get on the hunt, fellas!

bmorr 05-25-2012 11:44 AM

scored the new four pack today. thats one burden off me. saw the new spidey figs, but no ultra posable. At least they were relatively cheap. Now that i have that pack and doc ock, im done until the next MU wave, whenever that shows up.

itMFtis 05-25-2012 11:45 AM

Just got back from Walmart and they had wave 1 and 2 of the Spidey movie series (Virginia). Picked up the articulated Spidey and a Doc Ock. Might cave in and get Venom eventually too.

Only opened Ock so far and I like the base figure, but his tentacle backpack kind of blows. Arms too short, backpack too big, and worst of all, the action feature hardly brings the arms forward at all. Maybe a 25 degree angle at most.

proteus 05-25-2012 11:46 AM

Hell i think i'd definitely take one of those skrulls too,he looks pretty sweet!

Got this guy today in the post:
http://i835.photobucket.com/albums/z.../Unknown-2.jpg
And i have NEVER known a figure to be so contradictory!! I love the sculpt and style of the figure, the bare arms and wrapped bandages just bring something new to Spidey, and his hands have a strange, almost clawlike quality, yet still look human,in terms of articulation hes not bad down to the waist,BUT he should have had wrist art. as well as elbow because his arm looks weird when you put it in webslinging position. The less said about the T-crotch the better,BUT i will say it gives him a more smooth streamlined appearance. His knees are interesting as they have used the SW style ball joint knee, which again looks more asthetically pleasing(and who knows if coupled with proper hips might be better than the usual MU knee). Now onto the really bad....from the knees down, this guy is a disaster, the "manga sneakers" are TERRIBLE!! Far too big, poorly sculpted, and like giant white and red eye magnets you cant help but look at,they ARE Spidey clown shoes, and really REALLY drag the whole figure down, which is a massive injustice,i just cant understand why someone would sculpt them so out of preportion, and out of keeping with Spidey's style, they aren't even in keeping with their size in the comic!!

So in summary, if this guy had been released as part of the MU line, with T-bar hips, wrist articulation,AND NO CLOWN SHOES i really think people would love him!!
Looks/sculpt/style: im gonna say 10!!! (And ignore the shoes!!!)
Articulation: 5 im afraid (A great figure spoilt by the articulation scandal)

Weird question for anyone who has the comic pack Thanos.

Did your Thanos have the neck backwards so his head could only look down? I had to flip it over to fix it if that makes sense.

What? Youre done?

SH0CKWAVE 05-25-2012 12:11 PM

i grew up collecting 3.75" ARAH GI Joes as a kid in the 80's, so I guess that's why to this day I can never get into collecting larger scale figs.

i admit ML does look cool... in other people's collections. i just can't see them in mine.

plus starting from scratch, at this stage in ML, would be a financial disaster. if i can get two/three/four 3.75" in lieu of 1 ML, i'm all for that. i quit collecting TF's for this very same reason: economics.

Yea... Got the fever for about a month and collected about 150 of them.,, I'll get some here and there, I'm 6" ML collector, I'll get the MU ones that are not made as ML... That's about it

Doing a quick Google search, it seems like those shoes are accurate on the toy. Can't fault Hasbro for that.

Hell yea I spent a whole lot on ML and getting MU 150 in one month is not to Bad.. They look pretty cool and do not whoop my wallets ass like the ML do but I still like the 6" line better

Hells yes mate!! I feel the exact same way!! I went through a phase of buying Spawn figures and most of the Kaiyodo Trigun figures, but secretly, deep inside my mind i resented those big plastic bastards for not being smaller........

Why? What's wrong with the bigger scale? I feel like the bigger scale got better detail and paint apps are not as bad as MU

Its not the style thats the problem, its the sculpt,Waaaaaaaaay oversized in comparison with the rest of his body, they look like the sort of shoes those crazy raver kids in AZ wear.....if they had scaled em properly i would have been happy.......
