I had to share this. Natasha must have taken a testosterone pill of some kind or just you know steroids.

The Shadowcat we just got is based on her costume from recent-ish comics like Wolverine and the X-men and the All New X-men (where she tutors the time-displaced young X-men) so it's not out of date quite yet. Plus the yellow and black Kitty is how most people recall her costume looking so even if it were out of date it'd still be her more "iconic" look.

Not a bad couple of spider-lads

^ Those Spideys look great until you stand them next to regular sized ML figs... then they look small IMO... not like a kid small, but like... oddly shrunken small.

LOL @ that Winter Soldier... speaking of which... I have never seen a ML Black Widow at retail... not once in all this time.

I'm liking that X-Men wave, but think I'll be sticking with my MS Colossus since I think he (along with Juggernaut) scales better with the other ML figs. Speaking of Colossus, I wish Hasbro would have given us some remolded arms and head in the last X-Men wave to create Cyttorak-powered Colossus. He's got a 3.75" figure, but I'd love a chunky BAF of the character.

Anywho, found these guys at the Walgreens near my job, at 25% off not a bad get! I've grown spoiled though, I'm a symbiote junkie and was hoping for at least one symbiote character to pop up in this wave. I'd rather have say, Mania or Scream than Spider UK.

Cute...I am literally laughing so hard that I am crying! Good Stuff!

I think Polaris might be the most disappointing figure in the new wave for me

Just saw these pics drop today I believe that it's available for preorder on Forbidden Planet :D

Wow, Old Man Logan is completely bullshit. Why the hell did they bother packing him on his own if they weren't going to bother giving him ANYTHING?! They could have at least given him a young head to fo with the other Wolverine figure.

I'm going to be honest for a second though, my excitement for this wave just dropped a little. I still can't wait to get them, but this wave feels kind of cheap. Wolverine comes with nothing. Cyclops comes with nothing. Colossus comes with a bearded head for some reason, Shatterstar only comes with swords, Polaris is just a total repaint other than her head, and Dazzler looks off and I'm not a fan of there not being an alternate right hand. Sunfire is the only figure that doesn't look like Hasbro copped out on.

Aren't they the teenage Miles Morales and Peter Parker figures? They're supposed to be a bit smaller.

LOL. I'm seriously cracking up at this...the stupid stuff people do...

VashTS 01-14-2017 05:57 AM

The X-Men wave was a killer and then we saw no real accessories outside of the Colossus head that we got a bearded version for. I have very disappointed.

I waited 10 years for CYke and it looked good, yet Hasbro seemed to intentionally leave out the one thing they knew we wanted, a blast effect for him. No extra hands and even an unmasked Scott summers head(DAreDevil) would have been good.

As far as this X wave goes, im all in for jim lee era CYC, colossus with pants is more then fine imo, the MS version i believe is,of his 80s appearance. And i want old man logan. I read his ongoing, i loved the original story so im all in

As for the others, i honestly have no interest for..

Captain Nash 01-14-2017 09:35 AM

My anticipation for this upcoming X-wave is like no other before. I honestly feel like even though it's not as many core X-characters, it's a better selection of characters at least for long time ML collectors. We'll get our updated Storm, Nightcrawler, Pyslocke, Gambit, Angel etc eventually. I think getting some characters who have never been done at all is important too, and it's nice to see that happening on this X-wave especially when it didn't happen in the last.

As far as the breakdown and this will likely change after I get them in hand:

1. Polaris - as if anyone had a doubt this would be my #1. Getting this figure fills the final missing spot of characters that MUST be made (IMO).
2. Dazzler - She's not a favorite of mine like Polaris but I absolutely love this outfit. She's also going to be a good spot for missing characters though I did not consider her absolutely essential.
3. Cyclops - I'd argue that this look for Cyclops is even more iconic than the skullcap looks due to the cartoon and the huge popularity of the 90's. Along with White Outfit storm this is the most essential "new costume" update we needed so it's nice to get one of the two now.
4. Sunfire - love this figure, great to see a character that was only available as another version, as an exclusive, finally get a wide release.
Big drop from those four to the bottom four.

5. Old Man Logan - It's A Wolverine yet a new character as well, I think he looks great.
6. Warlock - New Mutants figure? Hell yeah, and a great looking BAF figure as well, even if not one that was on my radar
7. Shatterstar - While it's great he's a never done before figure, I have never seen the appeal of Shatterstar. I can think of 20 other X-Men I'd rather have than him, but still..a new figure is a new figure and it does go towards completing X-Force/X-Factor.
8. Colossus - honestly the only one I'm disappointed with. Not a fan of the look, it's not the Jim Lee era look the designers indicated they were going for with figures, so I'm not sure on the costume decision. Plus, the TB Colossus holds up really well. Still, he's not a bad figure, just a questionable one as far as the costume goes. I like his height..I guess if I find positives on him LOL

thanks for the pics....
while i do like that MS Colossus...and would buy him on a whim on any given day....(especially a sale day or for trade)
I don't like his size to rock with the Legends crew...
I think you can "hide" his size in action/group pics...
but i think I'd prefer the actual Legends figure....
Hopefully a piece I'll pick up sometime in 2017

330 bucks...Realllly!...My wallet just looked at me and said, 'Your not doing that!'..Lol...I will wait patiently for the mass distribution of Sue....But, hey, more power to the person who got Sue because many have been waiting a long time for her...The more people into Marvel Legends the better for the line to stay alive!..Look at what happened to the Marvel Universal Line, IMO, it was my favorite line to collect at on point, lost its focus on what the fans wanted when the line first began, the figures were awesome with ML articulation, but then, MU decided not to listen to the fans complaining about the figures, and MU still continued to paint over plastic toy soilders and try to past them of as MU figures!...Lol...Even people, such as myself, who wanted to collect all them, saw through the smoke screen and stopped collecting the MU line entirely...At least Sue is a good product, but 330 beans!

That must be a very strong bag of weed.

Kirathis 01-14-2017 02:00 PM

@Brownfinger
That is the BAF Juggernaut.

As for Kitty, I would also like her in her Star Lord/Lady gear for a Guardians display but then I am biased since I pretty much want anything Guardians related. Marvel's recent toss-up of characters on non-traditional teams has really thrown everything a bit out of whack.
