(oops, double post)

After a long thought about it, I really like this figure. Not rare, not expensive, not custom, not an a lister, and pretty sure he will never be in a film. Just all around real quality.

Il Cattivo 06-06-2016 12:09 AM

probably the baf hulkbuster.

For those of you guys who are looking for Tiger Shark there's a loose one in good condition going for $40 on eBay. It's a better deal than usual.

Got my €13 CW Captain America + bike set. He is in fact bulky when compared to other 4'' figures. I would say he is the same height as Retaliation Roadblock or 50th Destro. Nevertheless the mold is great I think its the best Cap after that WWII uniform one from the first movie. Lets just say Steve Rogers had a second "juice" LOL. Bike is so so but they look nice together. I would say this is a fair price $20 or more I think its too much.

The MoC X-23 figure I sold to Jimmyo that he gave to his daughter.
That was epic to know it went to a great place and will forever be my favorite figure now because of it.

That is a tough one. I'd have to say one of these three.

They've all be worked on a bit in some way. Wolverine is my own recipe, Dark Spider-Man has Black Bolt's legs with Nova's hands and gave him a repaint, and Omega Red has a few red touch-ups.

And I think this could technically count too since the TFs were a Marvel comic at one point and he was made using an IM2 Hammer Drone.

I'd have to say Dark Phoenix. She was my gateway drug into the 3.75 Marvel line.

My Anti-Venom! When he first arrived in the mail I just sat there staring at him 30 minutes straight. I love this thing so much! A few parts are broken on his back but he's still awesome!

Also, RIP Muhammad Ali.

Thank you I'm pretty happy with how it turned out myself. Aside from painting that gold it's a pretty simple recipe.
MU Astonishing X-Men body
Avengers Nick Fury arms
1st Thor helmetless Loki upper legs
XMO comic Logan head
XMO movie Logan hands
Kneepads and lower legs from a Renegades Duke
The feet are random though. Not sure who but they were definitely from a G.I. Joe figure. And I cut the pouch things off of the MU Astonishing Wolverine's lower arms and glued them on. That was a little tricky.

snake5289 06-06-2016 11:50 PM

Just finished Civil War and while I don't think it is the end all be all of comic movies like everyone seems to it was pretty good. Damn I wish Wolverine was part of it though. Never read the comic just the cliff notes so I don't recall if he was involved but since the movie didn't seem like the comic at all I don't think it would really matter anyway. I just want to see Logan as an Avenger.

Now with all that said I DEMAND Hasbro releases that MCU Black Panther NOW. He was easily my favorite part after Giant-Man. Scott may not have been in it much but every time he was it put the biggest fanboy grin on my face. Can't wait for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

OK, took me longer to sort than I'd usually like and still trying to find a pic of my army of 20 Dark Elves:

Tiger Shark and Bulldozer - two orange villains with great expressions.

Then maybe Electro and Kraven.

The X-men in general stayed out of Civil War because they were already being persecuted by parts of the government and therefor considered the registration conflict a waste of time, of course some individuals still showed up and there was a Civil War: X-Men tie-in but they weren't heavy in the main story. The focus was on those vigilantes the public had universally appreciated up until that point. I mainly respect the changes the movie made because it has a much smaller roster of characters compared to the comics. If movie Tony had recruited villains as he had in the comics there would only be like Abomination and Batroc.

Hey, why are mutants hated and feared, but regular people with superpowers are loved and praised as heroes? I know about the real life parallels that the X-men are associated with, but that seems to be an internal logic problem.

snake5289 06-07-2016 11:50 AM

Yeah never understood why The Avengers or F4 get praised but everybody hates on Mutants in general. The X-Men are just as heroic as everybody else.

I was aware that most of the X-Men decided to sit it out but since Wolverine pretty much just does whatever he wants wasn't sure what he was up to during.

BTW I was wondering last night since he's dead in the comics and Jackman's retiring from the role could they put Wolverine in the MCU now kind of like Scarlet Witch? Fox could use X-23 and Marvel could cast someone new as Logan.

I actually seem to recall multiple characters in universe bringing up this point at one time or another (like Spider-Man I think).
From the general overview the comics have presented it's because people like Spider-Man, Carol Danvers, Wonder Man, Wasp, etc. were born as and lived their early lives as regular people (anatomically anyway) and only gained their powers later so the masses feel like they are still one of them (but with power). They have some level of relation and association plus a hint of "that could've been me who got those powers." Alternatively mutants present an evolutionary development of powers which spells out eventual extinction of the normal human race (a point made by many X-verse characters). It also doesn't help that the first known mutant turned into a tyrant overlord with plans of world domination.

Whilst on the subject of X-Men :-)

Does anybody have both the 3.75" MU Prof X and 6" Movie Prof X figures and, if so, how close to/far off MU scale is the Prof's wheelchair? Trying to source a wheelchair for my custom fig with no success and can't tell from pics of the movie version if the chair would be reasonably compatible.

You are looking at a 33% difference, or about a third larger.

What is funny is that EVERYONE in the MU is a mutant, thanks to the Celestials which is why Days o Future Past happened originally, because the Sentinels figured it out, but maybe a handful of human people know about it.

CCC.

I just won an Old Man Logan on eBay for $10 without the retracted hands and the baby Hulk. Before I put any money into it I examined the picture and noticed that the guy used black marker or paint to fill in the gaps in the claws. I was just wondering if anyone had any guides on removing stuff like permanent marker on these figures without damaging them.

Don't understand why these Civil War packs are taking so long to hit retail. Wish I could find them on China sellers but not even there.

If it's regular acrylic paint, it might just come off with some warm water from the tap. That's what makes my paints come off, and it doesn't seem to harm the figure's paint job. Otherwise, I don't know.
