If those Marvel vs DC amalgams hold any water to you, Juggs is about to get hurt....based purely on how easily Supes clowned Cain in those books!

I blame dc favortism for that. Heehee ( though i will cede juggs is more brawn than brains ) i dunno though, Screwu 52 doomsday was rather punarific so i think if we're going by the height of juggs power juggs may have ol rock face in this one. Old school doomsday...more than likely not. ;)

Nerd Alert: incoming fanboy subjective reason!

You think Cain's loss falls along the lines of favoritism? I'm in agreement that, on its face, Juggs should have acquitted himself much better than what was written into the conflict. If anything, characters like Thor, Juggernaut, Captain Marvel (DC), and Black Adam should represent tough outs for Supes. After all, magic is one of Kal-El's weaknesses and all of those named feature powerful magic. I've read stories in which Werewolves have left Clark hospitalized, so what would magic on the level of Cytorak's (a member of the Octessence) do to him? That said, DC's characters perform feats of strength that put them on another scale entirely from that of Marvel's heavy-weights. Characters like Supes, Wonder Woman, Black Adam, Martian Manhunter, Orion, Power Girl, Super Girl, Apollo, Captain Marvel, and even Captain Atom are so strong that they play havoc with the laws of physics. It's a regular occurrence to see the aforementioned heroes lift ocean-liners over their heads and fly with them. To provide prospective, Marvel strongmen like Wonder Man and the Thing were classically listed as being able to press 90 and 85 tons respectively. These tonnage limits are laughably meager in comparison to my ocean liner example; ships of this size easily weigh in excess of 52,000 tons. LOL I'm a Marvel guy first and foremost, but DC's characters are in another universe (both figurative and literal)!

Clearly the alloys used in building ocean-liners in the DC universe are different and weigh less than the ones in the Marvel Universe. :p

HahahA! I think you are on to something there, Nash. Marvel's engineers and metallurgists are simply better and more cautious than DC's hacks!

The idea of winning cash and prizes for comic knowledge makes me smile...especially since the knowledge is almost worthless in any meaningful real-life context! lol

I'd take you as a partner in most scenarios, but you'll have to pick up the slack for me from 2008 to now....I got the 1975-2007/2008 questions under control!;)

Thank the gods for the internet to ( no double antandra or however its spelled intended ) bone up on the knowledge ive forgotten in my old age haha!

Dr Kain 01-18-2017 11:56 AM

Superman is more powerful than Juggernaut though. The only reason he wouldn't be is if Juggernaut's magic affected him, but unless I'm mistaken, the magic only effects Cain himself, not the people he fights.

Preorder link for the Warlock Series:

Set of 7 (Build-A-Figure Warlock) - Marvel Legends X-Men Action Figure Warlock Series at Cmdstore.ca

Not familiar with the online retailer this is on. Also I'm seeing it's more expensive than I would think it would be from more familiar sites. I'm holding off until it shows up on BBTS/EE/Dorkside/Amazon. I intend to order mostly from Dorkside mostly from here on out to support a local business, but for this wave I will be getting int from whomever I can get it from soonest within reasonable price.

Wonder if the price is high because it's a Canadian site?

oh! didnt even know/read that. yes, that's probably correct. I just googled "Marvel Legends Warlock series preorder" because I'm desperate to get this wave.

I should add they also have links for the individual figures but they say "out of stock", not sure if that means the preorders are already taken up or they just have it coded that way because it is a preorder.

And the excuse for werewolves kicking his tail would be? Outside of the obvious issue of crappy writing, that is...

Werewolves have no outward manifestation of magic, other than you become one if they bite you. Yet they lumped up Supes pretty well. In that scenario, I think it's safe to assume that Juggs, Thor, Captain Marvel, Hercules, Wonder Woman, or any hero/villain on a comparable level to Superman who derives their power from mysticism would be a more dangerous challenge than teen-wolf.

I just cant picture jason bateman beating superman....tsk tsk haha. On a sidenote if anyone here wants to read something truly, dementedly, epic batman meets the mask ( as in stanley ipkiss mask ) or maybe its joker meets the mask...either way joker gets the mask. Nuff said. Wish i could find that trade cause i never enjoyed a crossover soooooo much.

Tim 01-18-2017 01:37 PM

Well Apparently Walgreens is getting the Sandman wave. i bought Green Goblin and he was on sale for $15 he is one badass looking figure. Every single Walgreens had the wave i went to I saw Every Figure in the Wave but the only one i wanted most....Shocker. I Probably will go back and get 2099 Spiderman and Symbiote Spiderman. I still have no idea Who the Hell Jackal.

Oh ok, have you purchased anything from that Robotkingdom online store? I've never bought anything there. If it has PayPal, then no problem but if not, I'd like to know a little more about them.

They're a company based in HK so shipping them here to the states won't be cheap.

Warren (original color, then X-force color) was my absolute #1 (and 2) most wanted Marvel Legends figure(s). So I guess they were my "grails" ((not sure of our actual clear definition of grail))

So...i had a few F-it moments....and here we go...

Walgreens doesn't get just their exclusives, they do get a limited supply of regular figures too. Limited by sales is what I mean, I doubt they have a strict number they are stuck to having.

HAHA. yeah i know they don't just carry exclusives. thats were i found my Deadpool. I was just surprised that they were the 1st store in my area to get this wave. but Like i said the Only one that I didn't see was Shocker. I had to go through 3 or 4 Green Goblins due to terrible Eye paint on some.

This is it, exactly. Our friend Diana, the toy manager at our local store, explained it as such.

I gotcha. Yeah, I have yet to see any of the the Sandman wave in stores EXCEPT the Jackal I bought, and I have only seen remnants here and there of the Space Venom wave. We have a ton of the Absorbing Man wave figures though, even have seen Venom and Spider Gwen a few times now. I tell you, this year's going to be a problem as far as the branding goes. I just hope the X-Men wave gets in for those who are not planning on ordering online.

Yeah same I only Saw Electro And The Two Ultimate Spidermen from the space venom wave. And Yep The Absorbing man wave is everywhere here too only reason i got them was thanks to Amazon's and Walmart.com's Prices so I could price match them. If they were $20 each i wouldn't have built Absorbing man cuz only one i wanted was Speed Demon and that was for His hands to give to Electro lol. It looks like Jackal is going to be the Pegwarmer of the Wave i saw more then enough of him today. I'm probably going to look up his Bio or something cuz I haven't got a Clue about him

In my opinion, Jackal is a great character. He's responsible for all the Clone trouble in Spider-Man's life. I always dug him.
