Sweet Christmas...My newest custom...Luke Cage!

Somewhat of a lazy one as it was really simple, but I'm pleased with how it came out, especially because I hate painting eyes, especially when they are somewhat cock-eyed like the original SDCC Cage was. He'll make a good placeholder until Hasbro releases another comic version of him (which I am predicting will be in the next year.)

Yep. Used an WWE Elite APA Farooq figure, Luke Cage head cast, and a little bit of paint to cover up some logos on the shirt. It's a pretty common and easy formula for Cage, and I got the Farooq a while back during Black Friday sales at around 10 bucks.

The real challenge came in securing the head to the body, as Mattel Elites use an entirely different sized joint than Legends do, so I had to drill the headsculpt pretty deep, and file down the neck joint before building it back up and setting the head. It has all of its articulation though (and WWE Elites have pretty good articulation as is,) and best yet, he scales just right with current legends figures.

Matching the skin tones on the head cast was also a challenge, as the arms of the figure has a different tone than the neck, but maybe my Luke has a farmer's tan...It gets hot in NYC during the summer months. I hope I can find him a soft goods hoodie and some being now...

EDIT: Just remembered that I made a Street-heroes wave in the "Design a Wave" thread back in July. Kinda interested to see how close/if it matches, now.

Haha yeah it is, but when you think about it probably fit her at the time cause she debuted as a very young adolescent when the artists were drawing her. Now they've got her looking like a college student. Although the movie has her as an adolescent as well too.

Will with street level. You would automatically think Moon knight, luke cage, possibly a current look daredevil. Im sure some street level women need to be put into this wave as well as a few villains.

Notice i didn't include spidey,punisher,dark hawk, iron fist because most are already made as if recently, some are coming out soon.

Thanks. It was fairly simple to put together, and I've been having a lot of fun with it. The left eye is still kinda bugging me, but after spending the better part of an hour painting what amounts to just two dots over and over again trying to get it just right, I figured I'd just leave well enough alone.

While the Elite body is a bit larger, I feel it works with Cage here. Sure, he looks like he's closer to Shaq's size as opposed to being 6'3", but I dig it a bit more than the Hyperion Mold based SDCC Luke.

Anybody have a captain Britain? last i checked i believe i was the only one to actaully buy him. i tell you since opening him up and trying to pose the damn thing he is just super top heavy.... the guy can't stand worth crap.

I have him, and he doesn't stand any better than any of the other Hyperion based figures non Symbiote based (since the Symbiotes like Venom and Anti-Venom have different, wider, feet.)

The current rumor is:

That leaves room for about 3-4 figures to make it an average wave. Hopefully a comic Elektra is in there somewhere.

Further speculation: A comic Matt Murdock head and the silhouettes of ninjas were shown near the end of last year's SDCC panel. Though part of me is thinking that this may also be another two-pack.

after messing with Cap Brit for a few moments, FINALLY i got him to stand. apparently he is the only figure i have on that body. the only one coming close in comparison was tiger shark.

Cap and Tiger Shark are both on that body, but Cap's boots do make him a bit of a pain to stand.
