Yeah, they do seem more like pirates now instead of a group of people actively trying to actually guard the galaxy. I understood the movie taking some major direction changes with characters and motives because staying faithful to the comics might've been too heavy to stuff into one debut movie but the effect it has taken on the comics is painful.

I've always kinda taken the stance that the movies are their own thing, their own interpretation, so how faithful to the comics is kinda moot to me, as long as the story is good, and I like the film interpretation. I think they'll seem more like the comic team in vol 2 from what i've seen. GoTG pt 1 was pretty consistent with where the characters were (mercenaries, wanderers etc) before annihilation, minus quill of course.

That being said if they make Stallone Richard Rider I will send a swat team to Gunn's house.

but "to me"...this is the least exciting wave I've seen since I started collecting Legends.
I don't feel like any of these come across as "MUST OWNS"...which probably has to do with my attachment..or lack thereof for most of these characters..
I was never a huge Guardians fan and the movie was just okay to me.

This guy got them in georgia comic store! So they could be hitting retail stores pretty soon. First I've seen of the video. Just talked to him he also got Groot. Going to hit TRU and see what I find!

Angela is the only one I'm getting atleast the one I'm making sure I get (preordered her when she first showed up), the others maybe...

How many I end up owning may be based on how many i catch on sale at some point...i think i have 4 of them pre-ordered though..

Like others, I preorder Angelia, DH, VA, and Titus...But, would like to find a rear figure in the wild, like back in the day...lol! A question to all Arkers? Will Psylocke be made again in another wave? And, I wish they made a new Wasp as well, not really satisfied with Hasbo latest version of her...Hasbro, give us another version please, and knock it out of the park like you did with Gamora (GOTG EE Pack) and Sue (Walgreens Exclusive)!

I never found Vance to be all that interesting, but everything else there is superb. Angela is everything I'd hoped her to be when she won the fan vote, however long ago that was. The book bearing her name is one of my favorite comics released within the past few years, too. How did Bennett describe Angela and her girlfriend? "Smooching Shakespearian space angels". It was a real treat.

I've said it before, but Titus is a missed opportunity. They could have offered up a much more impressive/interesting BAF than that guy. It looks nice, at least.

I totally agree with this sentiment. This will literally be the first wave since the Rhino wave where I will not be picking up every figure in the set. This will come off as blasphemous...but I think the upcoming X-Wave is kind of a dud as well, with only Colossus, Dazzler, and Sunfire drawing any sort of interest for me. The BAFs being really weak for both waves also has killed my interest and excitement for them, as sometimes a good BAF is all I need as an excuse to pick up an entire wave (such as I did with Dormammu and the recent Sandman wave...) I mean, Titus I get, but...Warlock? Seriously? He sucked in the 90's? I remember feeling a sigh of relief as a kid when Cameron Hodge offed him back in the day...

Speaking of new Legends...I ran into the Walmart exclusive Iceman, in his non-ice form today. Solid looking figure. It looks like they fixed the gummy joint syndrome. It'll have to wait until next payday though sadly...sigh...

Darkhawk is really the only one i have an intrest in. None of the others are of intrest to me unless i can pick up a loose angela for a customs ( dont like what marvel did with her as she was much more interesting in the image verse )

Wouldn't it have been awesome if the BAF was an MCU or comic EGO IN PLANET FORM? Though not sure if you'd be able to pose him. That's how out there I am I would do those kind of things for the line XD Or they could have done what's his face..AH KANG THE CONQUEROR. OR Captain Mar-Vell or ooh a Male or Female Quasar? Titus was in the GOTG cartoon I found him to be an interesting sort of character when I watched the series :D

You get Titus, a worthless shit character made for The Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, but you don't get a character that was created back in the 80s and actually contributed to The New Mutants?

Yeah...I do get Titus. You said it right at the beginning when you mentioned the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon series. Same thing with Kid Nova (who I am not sure if that's the same Nova represented in the cartoon...but perhaps a Nova fan could answer that.) And the Iron Skull and White Tiger before it. While some of these characters were represented in the comics, they were all a part of popular cartoon series that were enjoyed by kids and adults, therefore, they make sense to me.

Warlock? I seriously doubt anyone under the age of 30 remembers him unless they are in the hardcore, X-comic omnibus crowd. And while everyone was bitching (and still is...) about Titus being given a BAF, NO ONE was asking for Warlock, except maybe the four or five of you here who are walking Marvel Universe Volumes...(and that's not meant to be a dig...trust me...your knowledge of just the existence of these characters astounds me.) Many other toy forums and websites expressed similar sentiments, so I know I'm not alone here.

Maybe it was the artwork (which I always thought was a hot mess,) or the design, or maybe it was just the character himself (such as the way he always spoke in the third person,) but for whatever reason, I thought he sucked, and was therefore was glad when Cameron Hodge offed him. Plus, his death in turn gave us the Phalanx, who I always thought were kinda neat, and have been big time players against the X-Men since.

Sorry if I don't share the same X-bias as many others here, but them's the breaks. If I had to choose between the two, I would take Titus over Warlock any day, and I know next to nothing about him outside of his appearance on Ultimate Spider-Man. It doesn't make him a better BAF than Warlock (in fact the Warlock BAF will probably be the better of the two due to the amount of unique sculpting that will go into it...) but at the same time, he makes more sense due to his recent moonlighting in the cartoon series, as opposed to a character who died back in 1991.

Then again, we got an Eel figure, and no one was screaming for him either, so what do I know?...

Most people probably formed their opinion from New Mutants, but my lasting impression of Warlock is from his prominent role in Nova's book in 2008, and how the Technarchy rolled up to thump the Phalanx and cure their virus.

And yes, Titus actually does stuff occasionally in the cartoon. I forgot all about that. I know people are critical of the show, and it's kinda up and down, but it has its funny and entertaining moments sometimes. I want them to really explore the Marvel universe for season two and not lean so heavily on the movie, though. They can't really capture that same energy.

I'm still bitter Angela was cancelled, especially when other titles with lower sales survived. It's a pity our chances of seeing a Sera Marvel Legends character are basically nil, especially with Marvel trying to pretend she doesn't exist now.

I preordered him on Amazon. Save me the trouble of trying to find him in stores.
