Went into a justice store for this set. Felt weird but had no choice since their online didn't have it and eBay and amazon wanted way too much for them. Plus batman needed a some new threads.

Nice hauls today everyone. Walked into FYE today and found the Arrow Deathstroke for cheaper than anywhere I could find online. I know he is supposed to be a 6" figure but he sure seems large. Still considering buying the other one they had as I think he might make a good base for a Punisher custom.

I already had two of the Igear seekers, and had been searching for these two for at least over a year now as Igear has since closed their doors apparently. I'm super happy to finally have them. If only I could find a way to get my hands on their Icestorm/Bitstream that never made it to production, so I could complete my set of Rainmakers.

I've always found their plastic quality and re-design of the mold to be superior to Takara/Hasbro, and the newer mold that Hasbro/Takara uses is an almost exact copycat to the changes Igear made. Plus, the colors on the Igear versions are closer to the animated counterparts. Sure, they lack some of the exact details (such as the tail fin stripes) but it's nothing a quick reprolabel job can't fix.

To be fair, I have the TRU Thundercracker (MP-11 mold), and the Walmart Skywarp (the MP-03 mold, which is garbage and I truly despise), and was looking forward to the TRU MP Starscream, but my TRU only got in one shipment, and I'm just not willing to feed the scalpers two or three times the price for a figure that retailed for a little over 60 dollars in-store when it came out. Couple that with the fact that from the looks of things, Takara has no plans to allow Hasbro to bring the newer MP-11 based Skywarp to the US (not to mention the upcoming Conehead seekers also look to be Asian exclusives,) which to me at this point is yet another flip of the bird from Takara. I'm not sure what their obsession with him is, but until recently, Skywarp is the one character that is continually released either as an exclusive or as a timed release overseas, and as a result is ridiculously priced to import, and I'm tired of it.

Until Hasbro and Takara both get their act together, once the Leader Class Skywarp comes out, I'm pretty much done with Transformers. The rising prices, cheaper plastics, re-use of molds (the seekers is understandable, but some of the Combiner War re-hashes got ridiculous) and cuts in articulation and transformations have pretty much killed the line for me.

Received word that a Smyths toy store had got their first batch of wave 3 of the Force Awakens Black Series figures yesterday. Unfortunately I was unable to head to my local one yesterday or today but a friend of mine kindly went and picked up a First Order Tie Fighter Pilot for me earlier :)

Yeah I hear that. That's one problem with Legends is the release of 5-7 in a wave and several waves released in a short amount of time. Kills ya LOL
