cooltoyreview says that Baron Zemo, Tigershark, and Radioactive Man will be at SDCC in some kind of "plastic Cell".

which annoys me cause it means I either have to save up for crazy ebay prices or brave manic tuesday at Hasbrotoyshop

Gotta say, After opening them, I wish I had kept them all MOC. Most seem to have loose joints, some weapons don't fit right, one's without stands take some serious patience to get them to stand on their own, if possible. Other's can't even hold their weapons they came with.

THEN! For the cherry on top. I put a shelf up to display my newly freed companions. I got about 60 figures all set up how I wanted. Then this happened...

Apparently I missed the stud by less than a F$#%$ inch on one side!!

More carnage.

I shoulda chalk lined Hulk just layin there lmao

I felt like it was karma for going against my long standing tradition of never opening my figures!

LORD MARVEL SALUTES YOU! So much u can do with a loose figure.

LapuLapu 05-30-2012 08:55 AM

I can live without certain villians like I had Klaw before during the early years of MU and I kitbashed him to a custom ArchAngel (stupid huh? :p) and I dont have the rest of the wrecking crew, I only have Wrecker and Piledriver was turned to Hercules (lol i really need to just wait for official release) but the Masters of evil specially Baron Zemo is a must get but only if they are 3.75" release.

Veronica Mars 05-30-2012 08:57 AM

That's just rude. What's with companies making con exclusives of things they implied would be available at retail originally? I just found out Mattel was doing the same thing.

I really hope that's not true. Those characters are too important to be an exclusive. The exclusives have always been variants so far. Baron Zemo and Radioactive man are major villains.

Mastersteef 05-30-2012 08:58 AM

Preciatin' a few movie line Avengers figures.....

Personally i think these 2 have the best actor likenesses in the entire line... :)
http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...C/DSCI0809.jpg

A nice little comparison shot of MU skrull and movie line Skrull. IMO, if the movie line skrull had full articulation he'd be the best one hands down...

It's still better than the Ares rumor (that he's the SDCC/NYCC subscription figure). I'd have to sell my BAF Ares just to afford him if that were the case, lol.

If I get my hands on BRB ill probably end up squealing like a little girl lol. Oh, and congrats on all the new kids you Arkers just got! Oh, and I hope Hasbro stops puttimg out spidey for a while: too many damn variants.

No kidding, surprise there's no Wolverine one...

It'll probably get announced here I think? I remember when Compound Hulk came out, set my alarm extra early to make sure that I could get him.

SH0CKWAVE 05-30-2012 10:25 AM

Any So Cal peeps or out of towners planning on going to SDCC??? (Lord Mando I will see you next year)

I will be attending too, so we should meet up when/if possible.

I have never been to Con and this year seems like THEE year to go!!

Quakehold is your best friend. You can use it to stand up figures and put some in their hands so it can help with those figures you are having trouble hold stuff.

Its not really their security staff, its mainly the people that volunteer there. I was talking to them last year. The people that volunteer basically sign up the day of and only have to work one or two hours then get the rest of the day to enjoy the con. The hours they are supposed to be working is also unsupervised so you can imagine how serious or lack of they really take it. I was considering volunteering if I didn't get a ticket this year but I don't have to. Anyone can volunteer. Indeed though, the hasbro line is horrendous. You can easily spend 6 hours just in line to buy stuff and they limit how many items you can get. Easily the most sought after sdcc exclusives.

Although they will be sdcc exclusives, they show up on hasbrotoyshop. I saw compound hulk there for a few days after nycc. Even if that, hasbro has shown most of them being rereleased later on down the road in some similar form , ie age of thunder thor, battlefield cap, spiderman, galactus, sentinel. I think this mainly effects moc ppl. They'll end up releasing zemo and radioactive man later on.

Greenskar and I will be there. I'm going to preview night. I got the 4 day pass. Been going since 08 too, I think.

We are trying to organize a meet up for arkers. Here is the link. Lets all meet up. It'd be nice to actually meet some of you.

Are they usually cheaper on HTS or at the Con?

they are usual SDCC prices. the problem is fighting the terrible lag that their servers experiance when trying to buy it. if you cant get one from HTS that day, or get one from sombody going to sdcc, your stuck paying high ebay prices. I am going to try to have my credit paid off by then just in case. lol

Snad 05-30-2012 10:55 AM

Scored the very first Air Assault Drone I have ever seen in person... at an amusement park giftshop.

WHAAAAAT?!
