Really liking the detail in this line. Looking forward to seeing characters from the Netflix shows sooner than later. Here are a few pics of those I've collected so far.

There's a Target in one of our neighboring cities that STILL has Allfather wave Hawkeye figures on the pegs, so that doesn't seem too far fetched.

Let's not even start talking about the Abomination wave. ANd I really think it mostly comes down to those freaking codes being the same. The retailers or Hasbro or whoever sets those codes need to devise a new code for each wave. Otherwise there are going to be figured produced that never sell, and I can't imagine that is good for Hasbro, to be sitting on stock in the warehouse. I used to be of the mindset that if we waited long enough, we would see almost all Legends in abundance for their allotted time (say 4-8 months would be a standard retail life of most waves I'd think.) But it has been 7 months since Space Venom and 6 since Abomination...and barely anything. I cannot feel with any real certainty we will ever see those stocked as regular stock. |

With all of fellow Arkers pulling in new Legends finds...how about one more...
No sign of the new Guardians wave in my area...but this guy should tide me over until then... ;) http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...210_174625.jpg |

How disappointing is it that the upcoming Warlock BAF wave might be the last X-Men wave and at the very least is the only X-Men wave planned for 2017
|
Incredibly so.

So imagine their shock last summer when they finally gave in and made an X-wave that wasn't an exclusive (the TRU deal). And it sold extremely well. They likely had another wave (this wave) planned already anyways, and could always have cancelled if the X-wave from last year bombed. What they didn't realize is how huge the desire for X-Men product was. And as such they couldn't plan it out more than 2017 to get that product in people's hands. They likely had a plan for one wave last year and one wave this year, and because of production turn around time, that's all they could get to us. I do expect that will change come 2018. I imagine the next few years after this year will see at least 2 waves of X-men product. I could be wrong, but I strongly feel it's not. It's just a matter of demand vs. production time. |
Everybody finding Black Panther and Guardians, meanwhile I'm having no trouble running into Hawkeye and Misty Knight.

Some quick thoughts on him having goofed around with him a bit, I'm really glad that Hasbro put this guy out, even if he is a repaint of the Rocket Racoon version (which I loathed) with a some reused accessories. It's still the Bucky Cap mold, so nothing new to write home on there, but it does seem to be able to do the splits a little better than most figures using it, and one of the weapon holding hands uses the roll of the dice style swivel, which allows him to strike some neat poses with the spear. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...210_215624.jpg On a really sour note...return of the gummy joints...yay... The gummy joints also make it a bit scary switching out the hands, as they plug in really solid, causing you to utilize a bit more force to pull them, causing a little bit of stress on the joints. If you have an exacto or a dremel, I recommend sanding them down just a smidge for easier removal. The lines on the hands and wrists are kinda haphazard too...but they don't bother me too much, and are barely noticeable. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...210_215722.jpg And yes, the MCU head fits on this new one, although when you pair it with the cape, it gives him the appearance of having no neck. It looks decent enough without it. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...210_215901.jpg |
^ Never understood why people were going all crazy for the Civil War Black Panther... I mean he's cool in the movie, but the more classic Walmart figure is the one I would go for.
|
Probably because:
A) Movie B) More sculpted detail that adds a bit more dimension and looks impressive when measured against how flat and featureless that other Black Panther figure is. Don't get me wrong, to each his own. Black Panther is inherently great in any plastic form. But even if I hadn't seen the movie, I'd prefer the one that doesn't look like it was made by Toy Biz in 2002. |
^ Movie Black Panther almost looks like how I imagine a Play Arts Kai Black Panther would probably look with all those metal edges and lines and stuff.
