Picked up Kitana and Quan Chi's MKX wave two figures from TRU today while doing some shopping for the holidays.

It's worth doing some spot checking on Kitana on the eyes, as like many of the wave 1 fgures, some of them were making mad dashes for the Star Wars aisles....

Picked up these Troopers today while wrapping up Christmas shopping, got home and this guy was waiting for me!

Nice. I always like Quan Chi more than Shang Tsung as the evil sorcerer in the franchise, he's delightfully evil and has had some really fun fatalities (granted he also has like the worst fatality ever in Deadly Alliance).

Hopefully Quan won't be hard to come by. He came out of a fresh case this morning, and there was only one of him in it, along with three Kitana's and 2 Kotal Kahns. Kotal looked cool, but the designs for the newer characters really left much to be desired for me, so it was an easy pass.

Truthfully, I wasn't a fan of Quan Chi until the syndicated TV show Mortal Kombat: Conquest came out. Adoni Maropis's take on the character was awesome, in everything from his voice to his mannerisms, and I've been a fan of the Netherealm sorcerer ever since. Quan only got better as I began to read and get into more of the lore of the game...it was then that I realized that he is almost single highhandedly responsible for more than half of the sub-plots haunting characters in the series. That's a pretty evil dude...

Quan is awesome in that like people have said, he had one of the worst fatalities ever (the neck stretch) but he also had one of the best (ripping your leg off and beating you to death with it...) He was the one character that I feared not getting the most when this line was announced, so the fact that Mezco got him out amazes me. I really hope they don't give up on the line (although I fear that there won't be a wave 3)...I'd really like to get my hands on a decent Reptile, Mileena, and D'vorah for a final wave...(with a Jax as an exclusive maybe?)

Thought I'd post another shot of Kitana since you really can't get a feel for the figure looking at it in the packaging. Opened her up, and she is freaking amazing. She stands well, her accessories are awesome and she comes with a ton of hands for posing options. The only negatives I can find are that there's no weapon storage I can see (unless it's really well hidden like it was with Scorpion) and that I wish she could kick a little more far forward, as the sculpt hinders it a bit. No regrets picking her up though, and that's coming from someone who's never been a real fan of this character. Congratulations Kitana fans. This is the figure you've been waiting for.

I'm soooo hoping for a Mileena now before Mezco loses interest in this line. Hell, I'll take a repaint of this figure if I have to, as long as it comes with sais and an alternate head...

yeah, i've seen these figures on the pegs for a few weeks now.. i don't really have any interest in them.. except for the PX previews kotal kahn.. now that thing looks ridiculously badass. i can't wait for it.

Nice Pickups......I love me some Mortal Kombat... and of course love me some Action Figures (duh)...but for some reason...this line is just not doing it for me...and i can't quite put my finger on why. i bought the original three....and have not been really excited about them at all..Probably going to pass on the rest..might snag a Quan Chi after i see it in person..

I have had the original since it came out and was always back and forth on if i was going to keep it. NOW i'll def keep the new one i just got..and will try to take the old one back to the Disney Store for a refund.

Man, do be careful with that hoverboard. Too many stories of those things catching fire. I thought it was just a certain brand but it appears to be happening to all sorts of brands so much that Amazon isn't listing any brand.
I'm sure you know of all this but just being cautious since you dont want that battery all of a sudden blowing up and causing a house fire, let alone taking with it your entire collection!

Haha yeah that looks familiar. I opened Superior Venom faster than almost anything just so I could snap the arm into Rhino. I was tired of looking at the one armed wonder.

On another note, I was surprised by something on Venom. Hasbro actually keyed the plugs on his back with different shapes so that you know exactly which tendril goes in which space. Handy since I just sort of dumped him out of the plastic last night without paying any attention. Nice touch Hasbro.

man i was in Walmart last week..and they had Superior Venom..i picked him up..and had him at the register (with my other purchases)...i talked myself down..i said.."don't do it just for the arm..."
Truthfully i DON'T want to pay 20.00 plus tax just for an arm...and i left it there...

Yeah my cousin took one back (that she has for her son for xmas) because she kept hearing this also..
