DC Collectibles Green Lantern 2 Pack Images

Kyle Rayner & Kilowog SDCC Exclusive Photo Gallery

What do you guys think...

Do you want more DC Collectibles figures in this size class and style?
Is the price of $25 dollars for a 2 pack good?
Would you pay more?
Do you want that playset?
Would you want/prefer non-Green Lantern DC characters?

Let the world know!

Mastersteef 07-19-2012 10:46 AM

Besides the price, I'd say YES on all accounts.... :)

And on a related note....I WANT THESE SO FRIGGIN' BAD!!!

that is all...

Maverick 07-19-2012 10:57 AM

I'd say 18 bucks and to be able to buy online would be good news.

Nexodusrex 07-19-2012 11:07 AM

mines coming in the mail.
I'm hoping that Rayner is just a shorter guy. He is young compared to the other JL and GL characters. looks like he's the exact same size as Cobra Commander. I wish the photographer would have taken the picture with CC off his stand.

maybe John Stewart will be as tall as cap?

Either way. DC COllectables 3.75 is my new official second collection line. If it brings out fewer figures than MU a year, but brings out good figures, I'll be very happy. Keep these two packs comin! I cant wait to see what they do outside of GL. I'm Praying for Pre-New52 designs. I would fall inlove if Superman had underwear

Ask and you shall receive...

That should be a dead on height comparison, they are standing straight up and in line with each other.

Definitely is a smaller fig, not sure if this is default for their 3.75 offerings, or if the character is a smaller guy in scale.

Overall though, my guess is that this line will be a little smaller than what we are used to with current Marvel Universe and Joes. The Hasbro offerings have gotten taller over last 5 years or so.

Maverick 07-19-2012 11:23 AM

Thanks for the pics tony. Ill keep mine on a dc only shelf so a little out of scale wont bother me.

Tony_Bacala 07-19-2012 11:32 AM

And to give a little feedback.

Figure quality is good. Not sure how it exactly feels compared to current MU offerings, but it's a solid plastic, not too heavy, but not cheap. Paint apps feel nice. Joints are good. Overall feels quality in your hands.

I also would prefer non-Green Lantern offerings. GL is cool, but not my thing. Justice League, Legion of Doom 7 pack vs 7 pack would be nice. New 52 style for heroes preferred. I don't think there is a fleshed out LOD in new 52 yet.

As Destro said on the phone earlier, a playset of the Hall of Justice in place of the GL one - I'd get that. I think the GL one is really nice, but again, GL is not my thing.

I would punch holes in multiple universes for Batman and co.

BATCAVE AND BATMOBILE ANYONE!?.

Would be badass if they can get movie licenses too. Michael Keaton Batman and Batman Returns Batmobile. Danny Devito Penguin and troop builder armed penguins.

When I was reading DC actively(before 09) I started to like their stories better than Marvel's. DCIH was a flop so this line is what I've wanted. Thus, I want the following :

Battman #666 Damian Batman
Damian Robin
Dickbats(Dick Grayson BATMAN)
Killer Croc
Azrael
Jean Paul Valley Azrael Batman
New 52 BATMAN
Darkseid
Orion
Shazam
Black Adam
Ras Al Ghul
League of Assassins Ninjas
Manbat
Ninja Manbats
Doomsday
Arkillo
Guy Gardner
Aries
Green Arrow
Cyborg Superman
SINESTRO yellow lantern ver.
Dark Knight Returns Batman
Nicholson Joker
Movie Ras Al Ghul
DEATHSTROKE

cainraw 07-19-2012 12:25 PM

Did no one else notice the diaper look on Kyle Raynor? That's all I see when I look at him, like he pulled his snuggies up to mid-gut.

Galaxy Ranger 07-19-2012 12:29 PM

Wow, much shorter than I was hoping for. I'll get my favorites as a separate collection, but may just be good for heads and parts for MU Custom scale DC characters.

Shin Densetsu 07-19-2012 12:32 PM

Looks like Graphitti Designs stuck with 3-3/4" scale. Hasbro seems to have gone 4" for GI Joe/Marvel Universe, but 3-3/4" for XMO Wolverine and the movie series Amazing Spiderman.

TheSymbiote 07-19-2012 12:35 PM

We got these yesterday and we do not regret it. we payed $54 on ebay so we would definitely pay $25. But $20 is better lol
We would like to see DC Collectibels not only make DC characters but God Of War and other figures from licenses they own.
We're hoping maybe Diamond Select Toys could do something like this with marvel or monster figures.

boba fett 07-19-2012 02:26 PM

these things are frickin sweet! that being said i have some if anybody is interested!

hrothgars 07-19-2012 03:46 PM

I don't collect 3.75", but if I did I would probably want any DC line to be in scale with MU. As I recall, MU figs tower over these new DCC figs.

Also, I am a bit GL'd out. I wouldn't consider picking these up unless they started to expand into the mainstream DC roster.

ToyAddict 07-19-2012 04:04 PM

I'd buy them at no more than $20 per 2pack at my local LCS (so I don't have to pay shipping).

These are nice, but I'm holding out for Mattel to get in the game with a full retail offering of good figures in this size.

Iceman 07-19-2012 04:52 PM

$25 isn't bad if you are buying it in person but then adding on shipping or after market prices and it would be a tough pill to swallow. For the right two pack I would pay $40 if I had to but I hope they find a way to get these out to the people. As for the scale I don't mind Kyle being a little smaller as I don't really mix my lines. Kilowog still works in scale.

That'll be the day. What we've gotten so far from them in this size is not worth buying.

Ninjinister 07-19-2012 05:17 PM

I love the Lantern Corps. and 3.75. I want these SO BAD.

I wish they were a little taller.
$25 is good more is too much
I hope they do offer them online and at LCS. TRU too maybe
$150 for the playset is way too much!
I would love a whole line of Batman Arkham City in this scale!
I will NOT buy any new 52 crap.

DogFashionDisco 07-19-2012 07:44 PM

I think they realized that to make a substantial profit they had to limit the distribution significantly.

How does that make sense? They aren't the ones selling them for high prices on ebay. I feel like the price is because of the lower quantity. Generally the more one makes of something the cheaper it is to make so they could either make more money or offer lower prices. They just don't want to sit on a warehouse of product if there is no interest. That's how they lose money.

DogFashionDisco 07-19-2012 07:52 PM

It makes complete sense. Supply and demand, only produce enough to make a profit, that way the consumer will buy out the product, and be left waiting for their next plastic crack fix.

I disagree. Paying higher manufacturing prices to artificially limit supply is not a formula that would go well in most board rooms.

DogFashionDisco 07-19-2012 08:50 PM

I understand where you're coming from, but look at the bigger picture. Most figure bucks are reused several times over, so let's assume they want to do that with these figures (one is a standard size, and the other is rather large, which I'm sure they'll adapt to other characters). In regard to board rooms, since when have they ever done anything right? Do you honestly think they know what they're doing most of the time? That said, I'm sure they aren't too happy with pulling their product out of retail due to poor sales, so why would they intentionally overproduce figures? A smart manufacturer would crunch the numbers to see how many figures they would need to produce in order to turn a profit, and then try to hit that mark. I'm just trying to give you guys something to think about here.

Shin Densetsu 07-19-2012 09:09 PM

Well from what I recall, DC Collectibles/Graphitti Designs are gauging interest for these figures, so judging by sales of the 2 pack, who knows? Maybe there is hope for wider releases in the future.

SDCC was the best place to gauge that too.

xredmenacex 07-20-2012 08:27 AM

I would love to see more DC figures in this scale that were not convention exclusives that I will never get my hands on/pay a ton of money for on eBay. Green Lantern is cool but I think they would get an even bigger response with Justice League or other DCU characters.
