Ironman 3 - What do you want from the toys?
 

We've heard a little bit of what to expect from the Ironman 3 line, but if we did get some figures like Ironman 2 as exclusives or mass retail, who would you want to see? And what do you want to see out of what we've heard is coming?

For me, personally I want to see the armory Light Up Bases released again, but this time each with an armor in numerical order(most of which from the IM2 line). 01. grey or gold original, 02. Classic, 03. Finned classic, 04. Stealth classic, 05. Silver Centurion, 06. 80s Red and Gold armor, 07. War Machine I, 08. 90s Modular armor(New Mold!), 09. extremis, 10. Repaint movie armor that matches Marvel Now Ironman #1.

Exclusives or mass retail. Either is fine.

A 3 pack of the armored family modernized would be nice too. Like a three pack of Marvel Now Ironman with stark head, War Machine with rhodes head, and Pepper Pots with Pepper head. Pair this up with a villian 3 pack of something like Crimson Dynamo, Titanium man, and whiplash or mandarin or even Madame Masque.

Almost all of these could be done easily and would still be bought by fans, most of these are just straight up repaints or re-releases from Ironman 2. Only Rescue, madame masque(Avengers BW body new head?), and 90s Modular Ironman are new molds.

For anything else I'd want. Most of it's already covered that I'm aware of. Besides the Obvious any armored characters or villians in the movie itself and civillian tony, pepper, and Rhodes figures.

As for what's coming, I want to see what it looks like first. Not enough info for me to go on yet without seeing the execution. If this talk of "assemblers" is true, I'd like to see how the concept is implemented. It might just be MU that's easier to customize best to your tastes.

I want a Movie Tony Stark like the prototype one we saw for IM2.

More comic and movie versions of characters from IM's universe as well (in 3.75 scale).

6inch fans what we might / likely to get .....

The new armor with gold and red , - it would be cool if there was a suit up version perhaps (unlikely idea)
Slim chance of a villain figure , so we might get a mandarin movie style look ! ,
Iron patriot ( for people who said this is James Rhodes , i haven't forgotten that if it is i'll eat my heart out- i said this earlier)
Oh and possibly some comical figure or something

i hope we get a badass 6" comic inspired mandarin. classic or modern or both.

i would so love a comic series with more villians but at the rate the last two lines went it will most likely be fourty more repaints with maybe five new figs...

I'm not expecting much from this line. If we get a decent version of the new Iron Man armor (mark 80 or whatever), Iron Patriot, and something with a Stark head I'll call it a win.


I would like to see figures like Whirlwind or Blizzard would be great but we have the main villains already. I guess Foom would count but that is already coming.

i'd love to see an original costumed comic-themed ghost figure in 3.75 scale.

I don't have much interest in the MU sized figures unless they do a Tony Stark headsculpt or suit up armour as in his mech tech fly suit.

I have been collecting and have been focusing on 6'' scale so anything decent will be bought and added to the ongoing armoury. A Pepper Potts, Black Widow would be on my top want lists... aside from that a decent movie style Mandarin and a FFF"Fin Fang Foom" Would be awesome lol. I will wait and see what happens. could be some gold or some mediocre repaints. I just want some new molds and sculpts and maybe even a new character!

Mostly comic line. Characters with asterisks* should come with a "actor" head sculpt. No asterisks figs should come with a comic inspired headsculpt.

considering what we got for the new ML, and how they based them off the MU figs, my money is on them going in reverse with us seeing a 4" madam masque.

What do I think we'll get?

Movie Series: Every new Iron Man suit that Tony actually wears in the movie, and then every new suit from the movie repainted two or three times. Mandarin will be in the third or fourth series and impossible to find. A major costume for the Mandarin from a key action scene will be highly demanded but never released (ala Armored Whiplash from IM2). The consolation prize will be that they WILL release Armored Whiplash. Maybe Chen Lu if he does become Radioactive Man in the film. Some kind of Ten Rings troop builder (or if rumors are to be believed, some type of "Iron Man Drone" troop builder).

Comic Series: Black and Gold Iron Man, A new Mandarin, Rescue, A new War Machine, some stuff from older movies (Armored Whiplash, primarily). -Maybe- Detroit Steel. -Maybe- Madame Masque.

4" Modular Armor is still missing, right? I'm all filled up on Iron Man versions, so any new villains would be welcomed.

Ugh, dude I am terrified that we are gonna get figures like those. :(

Hell at this point I be surprised to see any torso articulation at all on any of these new figures (unless they plan on heavy re-use of the bodies from all the IM2 figures)....

The Telepresence Armor
The "mouthless" 90's classic they based the cartoon off
Either Space Armor- though the Galactic Storm armor would be best!
The Deep Sea armor- not the concept version we got in the IM2 line.
The Rescue armor for Pepper is a must! But the awesome red and silver version with the pointy chin, not the red and gold thing that looks like Iron Man in drag!
The Heroes Reborn armor! (that's the pointy eared version with the glowy parts from Perez's run on Avengers that shot green repulsors)

I;d also love to see an ACCURATE Stealth armor!

I just want a neat Warcap.
