I know many of these we've heard about before, but nonetheless, it is nice to A.) hear they are moving along with announcing them and B.) MU seems to still be going strong and C.) It is much more villain heavy than MU has been previously which I think is great.
Also, the ones I hadn't heard about before are great news. Cloak and Dagger? A new Thor set with Skurge? Awesome. Quote:

very excited about this! hopefully i get to see these in the wild since i have yet to see the professor x or nova waves...
|
Good news, anything new MU is welcome
|
I'm really pleased to see Cloak and Dagger, and Valkyrie coming up, but...
No Death's Head? Black Knight? Ant Man? |
Whoa!!!!
|
Looking forward to an update of Cap.
PS - The Iron Man inclusion in the Thor line was a joke, in case anyone starts speculating about Stark popping up in the movie! |
Just when I thought I was going to save $ this year...LOL
That Thor Movie line looks sick too!!! |
So many to look forward to. But the bad news is most say Fall 2013 so we might see them around Xmas.
|
Mysterio looks dope! I can't wait.
|
Plus, Leader and Red Skull in Avengers line, plus new Falcon and improved Hulk.

As he should imo. How else are you going to have someone punch off the fish bowl?

And still no word on the Death's Head figure they so cruelly teased us with almost two years ago. :(
|
BTW, I said this in another thread but it bears repeating. Aside from the lack of articulation, the Iron Man 3 Assemblers are pretty fun.

Did anyone else notice when you click the link on the front page of Toyark to go to the section on 3.75" MU from toyfair that the press release thats on the top of the page when you follow the link says that there will be 23 new figures this year? Optimistically assuming thats 23 new single carded figures this year that would leave us with 6 new figures still to be announced right? (thats counting the profx (wave 1?) and nova (Wave 2?) waves and what they have listed as waves 3&4)
Actually just did a recount...that would make it 18 new figures announced so far with 5 left. That would make good sense I guess leaving hasbro a new wave of actual figures (or prototypes) rather than just all new images at SDCC. Darn, maybe only 5 more this year. Here's hoping for Forge, Banshee, Northstar, Omega Red, Pixie, Toad, Dani Moonstar (Valkerye's head would be a great re-paint for her) or really just any couple of more X-men related characters to round out the year ;) |

I'm underwhelmed by this year's showings thus far. One figure , Abomination, out of my top 30 most wanted characters is being made.
Where is the Black Knight mold we saw last year? Was really looking forward to that. Yeah I'll get some of this but I really hope they show some other figures. I admit some my most wanted is personal taste but at this point, at least to me, it's rather mindboggling that at the very least Wasp, a founding Avenger who has been around for 50 years now, does not have a full sized 3 3/4 articulated figure. Of all the rest I can understand maybe not so much but in addition to Wasp I'm surprised nothing for Bishop, Lady Deathstrike and Viper as yet. that's still 25 out of 30 (if you include Black Knight) that I can understand that there are other characters more people want. But really, Hasbro, please don't let the line end without Wasp at the very least. It's becoming a little insulting at this point. She would fill so many gaps in many people's Avengers lineups. |
It would seem that Hasbro is attempting a new approach with MU figures - slipping female figures into 3 packs, particularly when they think the figure is "in-demand". It wouldn't surprise me if Elektra shows up in a 3 pack with Daredevil and Bullseye.

Surprised they didnt show Antman

Just to repeat.
Toy Fair is for retailer buzz, hype building, letting the press know what toylines to expect this year, and orders. The cons, normally SDCC, NYCC, DragonCon, and Potentially even WizardWorld STL this year, are for the Fans. That's where the big announcements that are fan oriented are at. Toy fair is pretty much always a tease for those. Like even Transformers. They mentioned SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much. But only showed the big retailer buzz items that'll need orders, and anniversary buzz items to get orders coming in for those too with the hype. You can tell based on the displays too. This is all business and "for the kids" or "sales pushes." It's heavily formal and low on the fan wow other than new toy/rebranding/package refreshing reveals. The Cons are more displays, dios, and the awesomeness you'll be buying this year that stores are carrying. Pretty much everything fans want to know and buy. It's all about the type of foot traffic you're getting in these shows on how and what you cater to. |
New figures were announced? But I thought the line was ending!!
Guess not. :p |
