Me too. Sailor Mars because this Mario isnt coming out until later this year. lol

trebleshot 01-29-2014 11:55 AM

Which is a good thing because there are a few MPs I will need to pick up before Mario anyway.

Rattrap Primal 01-29-2014 12:54 PM

Interesting, I hope it does well enough to warrant Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Bowser, Koopas, Bowesers kids, Yoshi, Wario as well as more Metroid and Zelda (Samus without armor, Ridley, Mother Brain, Ganon, Princess Zelda)

SH Figuarts Super Mario Pricing - The Toyark - News

S.H. Figuarts Super Mario MSRP $24.99
Diorama PlaySet A MSRP $19.99
Diorama PlaySet B MSRP $19.99

Nexodusrex 01-30-2014 08:28 AM

i hope he has some different faces

Motrondog 01-30-2014 10:06 AM

Very nice, the prices aren't as high as other Figuarts figures. That probably means he's going to be tiny, but still, $24.99 is a great price.

Blanka 01-30-2014 11:41 AM

Well...far from Super Mario's first figure, BUT...

I'm still on board, and will be getting the figure and both sets. Is this up for pre-order anywhere yet?

Has Mario ever had an actual poseable figure though?

Blanka 01-30-2014 12:10 PM

From Toy Biz..

No hotlinking. Use a free image hosting site or your Toyark account to share pics. - Toyark Staff.

trebleshot 01-30-2014 01:10 PM

The Toy Biz figure really stretches the definition of "poseable" though.

None that I am aware of currently. Bluefin says they will be available in June.

Blanka 01-30-2014 01:41 PM

Trebleshot--OH?

Whereabouts? I'm in Barberton (Akron area).

eriku 01-30-2014 09:13 PM

World's first Mario action figure, eh? I'd like to know which world they are referring to. :D

Regardless, this will be mine. Hopefully they'll do a Link so we can have the World's First Link action figure, too. ;)

Shin-Gouki 01-30-2014 11:58 PM

These WILL be mine!

Where are you guys getting the "World's First" bit? Neither Bluefin nor Bandai are soliciting this as the first Mario figure. In fact, even in this thread we've only been speculating that is this the first "poseable" Mario figure. But I guess if you want to be truly accurate, you could say this is the first super-articulated Mario action figure.

Hell, he's the mascot of one of the most successful gaming companies in Japan. I'm pretty sure Bandai would know about the other Mario toys.

Blanka 01-31-2014 02:05 PM

It says in the top right corner of the picture--"World's First Mario Action Figure!".

Boy Wonder 02-02-2014 06:18 AM

Well, this will he the first GREAT Super Mario figure

The only real one we had before this would have been the ToyBiz Mario Kart one, and he kinda sucked

I'm super stoked for this, I haven't been this excited over a toy in a long time. Hope it leads to an entire line of Mario characters. At the very least I'd need:

Luigi
Bowser
Peach (w/ Toad)
Yoshi (make him rideable!)
Wario
Donkey Kong
Diddy Kong

Birdo and Waluigi would be nice too, but anything after that would just be gravy.

Thugnificent 02-02-2014 08:02 AM

Looks decent, here's hoping for a variety of Nintendo characters under the Figurarts line in the future. I'd be pumped for more Mario characters, Samus, Link, & Fox.

There was also a Mario action figure from the fast food chain Wendy's back in 2002, which is actually pretty decent - better than the ToyBiz version even. Regardless, yes, this new figure looks fantastic and I'll gladly add it to my meager collection of Mario figures. :)

Thank you for the clarification. I wasn't looking at the poster ad, just the PR.

I guess it would depend on a person's definition of "action figure", then, whether or not Bandai's claim is true.

bmorr 02-03-2014 10:32 AM

I don't really care about Mario, but if they made Star Fox WITH his ship, that'd be pretty rad.

Tiberius 02-03-2014 02:01 PM

....Hmmmm, not a big deal... rather see some more anime shows being made into figures.
