That accessory pack is the bee's knees. Seriously awesome.

Some people on Facebook are claiming that the Predator's plasma casters wouldn't support the weight of the blast effects, and I think they may have a point. Opinions?

I don't have any of the older ones, so I can't tell if those will or won't. The AvP casters shouldn't have a problem, unless these effects pieces are heavier than I'm expecting.

To be honest I wish they would include the blue plasma blast and the bloody skull with the spine with the Ultimate Jungle Hunter and the Xenomorph skull and the orange plasma blast with the Ultimate City Hunter.

Because while this accessory set is awesome, I really don’t want that skinned corpse and I could do without the clean skulls too.

This kinda feels like they outsourced potential accessories from the Ultimates which sucks, especially since Jungle Hunter doesn't have much weapons they could include, so I hoped he would come with some accessories like the ones in this pack. Obviously not the whole corpse, but the bloody spine and the plasma blast would make for excellent accessories for an Ultimate figure IMO.

This is gonna be one of those packs where everybody wants some parts but not others. Those who missed out on the original skulls for example. The Alien set's like that for me too (Don't really need the seperate huggers).

Personally I have all the Pred skulls anyway so I'd have preferred a severed Alien arm or something.

I already have the skulls, don't want the blasts, but need about 50 of the skinned bodies.

Also, no one has YET complained about the corpse not having any articulation.

I'll probably get this. You can't have enough trophies in a predator display.

Who's to say Ultimate Jungle Hunter at least won't come with some trophy accessories and the blast effect? We have yet to see anything from that figure beyond its box at Toy Fair and it would make sense to give him trophies as he doesn't have any extra weapons he could come with. I theorize they might give Jungle Hunter removable blades like the AVP figures so he could also have the spread blades from when he pins Dutch but that's about it for different weapons he could have. Even with City Hunter they have yet to solicit him so any number of accessories could remain unknown for now.

I thought about this as well, and it makes sense in terms of "This pack contains stuff you can get for your collection without having to buy the Ultimate Preds" but in my collecting experiences they usually don’t put stuff in accessory packs you can get with other figures.

I know NECA already made something different with the Alien Creatures pack, but until we get confirmation on what comes with the Ultimate figures I’ll assume they won’t come with this stuff.

Yeah, that corpse is tempting. I have the same doubts about the blast effects. The casters on my Predator figures are pretty loose.

The Ultimate figures should indeed come with a lot of this stuff. But I suppose it will depend on what NECA does. Alternate masked/unmasked heads are a must, at the very least.

Regarding the casters yeah some of mine are good enough that I totally could attach these effects but then others are loose and I know the blast would just make them droop down.

We already know Scarface predator will come with alternate heads and he is being released as an ultimate figure, plus every single ultimate figure to date that can have alternate heads has had alternate heads. Freddy came with three heads, T2 T-800 had 3, Leatherface had 2, T-1000 had 3, Sarah Connor had 3, Tech Noir T-800 had 3, Kratos had 2, and Evil Dead 2 Ash will have 2. Jason didn't have alternate heads but he did have a removable mask. Dante and John Matrix have been the only 2 human ultimate figures so far to not have head options.

Hell, the skinned corpse is the highlight of the set for me. That thing rules.

I'm sure someone WILL complain, but that's stupid. It's a dead body that hangs upside-down. It doesn't need dynamic action poses unless you want to use it as a Hellraiser "Uncle Frank" figure instead.

Yeah, but neither of them needed alternate heads.

Fun fact about the Matrix figure: if you remove his vest, his camo paint is complete and he even has the little wound painted on his side from when he gets hit with the grenade! Nice attention to detail there, NECA.

It's made of a rubbery material, kind of like the baby Otachi from Pacific Rim. I think that was a great move. Since these are corpses, it seems more realistic IMO.

I'm thinking of using a gloss coat over the corpse for the photo shoot when I get these. Make it look even slimier.

I don't know. $24 for what amounts to some really minor acessories seems a bit overpriced. Maybe if this pack came with two corpses instead of one it might justify the price. I think it would have been better served to come with some extra weapons like the smart disks and combi sticks which are easily lost or broken, or maybe a couple of new ones like the cleaner kit or the net gun as opposed to the skulls.

Kind of a cool idea, but not thoroughly fleshed out like the Xeno pack was, especially at that price point.

It already looks like it has a super slimy gloss coat, unless you're implying that the retail version isn't going to be painted exactly that way.

I'd run that by Randy first. The coating may be harmful to the material over time. Some of that stuff is like acid to collectibles ;)

Could be. I may also just opt for halloween makeup fake blood. Something that can wash off when I'm done.
