SH Figuarts Spider-Man Homecoming
Holy cow! Just in time...I'll more than likely pass on the Revoltech and Mafex in this case.
Well I can't wait to compare pictures of this with the MAFEX one!
Sweet! Maybe they will end up with the entire Civil War Cast (albeit with releases in subsequent movies).

Oh that figuarts one... they know what they're doing. I thought the MAFEX would be hard to beat but, this clearly might take it.
To be honest the Figuarts one looks how I imagined the Mafex one would look. And the other way around.
I'm really not a fan of how they sculpted the fabric of his suit here, and the web lines are way too weak, they need to make these stand out more. |
No unmasked head as per usual. Might actually go with mafex. Only problem then is he'll probably end up taller than Iron Man.
Awesome...spiderman homecoming is coming home to me! Lol
Finally! I knew this day would come.
Looks good! Strangely enough, I think the Mafex promo pictures make their figure look better. Deeper colors and an unmasked head tip it over the edge.

Tbh the Mafex looks better, FROM PICTURES, but I've seen Mafex figurew look great until release. And the other way around. I've seen them look bad until release. |
I'm trying to like this but it's really not easy. I still can't get over this ugly sculpted texture and the lack of depth in the spider webbing.
I really hope the official pictures can change my mind. |
Looks much better than the magazine images, mostly because the webs on his suit are much more visible now.
So many Stark Suit Spideys, so little money.
I'm getting both in case, but this Figuarts one does look like a keeper right now. |
Waiting till he shows up on HLJ
Saying this first as this is bound to come off like a petty complaint...this looks incredible with the exception of the completely red elbow joints and it's very exciting to see.
I don't understand the new thighs they've been using on releases. The designs have all been improved (mainly thanks to the shoulders) yet the legs always look poorly made. They don't function any differently than the old design they had (not the swivel ball/sockets, I'm talking about the t-style joints that were mostly used on Kamen Rider figures). The new arrangement breaks the sculpt in eight different places. Compare it to the waist/thigh/leg arrangement used on the very first S.H. Figuarts release. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4011/4...91b5204a_b.jpg |
BBTS Spider-man and tamashii option act wall set
This is the first I've seen this, looks like it's getting a US release w/ an accessory like Dr. Strange and the other Iron Man w/ Halls of Armor. |
I am so excited about this.

I was able to pre order from HLJ and he is up on amiami. It's essentially going to be $30 extra for an effect part.
99 dollars? Good lord....
This is really b.s. a non exclusive for the price of more than an exclusive?
