I still think Hasbro dropped the ball by not including his helmet, I don't care if he barely has it in the new movie or not but I would want this figure displayed with the helmet on and that isn't even an option here. I know there will be the (apparently Walmart) exclusive base version that comes with a helmet but I have yet to see if that one will be an alternate head or just a prop.

I'm just trying to figure out why the stormtrooper has a turned over Ikea chair as a shield.

It's a (sideways) riot shield, from the Poe Dameron/Riot Control Stormtrooper 2-pack released for The Force Awakens.

My riot trooper's arm broke above the joint, snapped right off a while back. It's glued in place, that's as best I can get. Normally I have him tilted back so the shield is behind another trooper. Farked up the setup here, didn't even notice till you said something.

Man, these photo shoots are beautiful. I envy your backgrounds and the lighting - especially in the Kylo Ren shoot - add atmosphere.

This said, Hasbro is certainly putting extra efforts in the 6-inch Black Series and it shows. Kylo Ren looks good and moody, even if his helmet is nowhere to be seen, and Hera looks great with her sharp features.

I'm ready for a 6-inch Aayla Secura now.

And Mace Windu, Plo Koon, and Kit Fisto. One figure that I'm genuinely surprised Hasbro still has yet to do is a RotJ red gauntlet Boba Fett, it would be so easy to do yet they just haven't. At the very least where Fett is concerned I think they need to redistribute the crap out of his ESB figure, for looks it's still one of my favorites from the entire line but goddamn that figure was extremely hard for me to get and I know there have got to be a lot of collectors and fans who missed out.

This new Kylo head is way more detailed than the previous unmasked version, it looks really good up close.

It kinda bothers me that it looks like Luke is threatening Rey. LOL. I hope there is no scene like that in the movie and Luke's emo phase is short lived... good guy Luke is the best.

I have no idea what's gonna happen in the movie, not been following spoilers or any of that. When I set this up I was thinking more of "tough love" training.

Great pics! I bet Luke wont have his green sabre in this film, at some point during his self imposed exile, he took it apart and the kyber crystal has now changed color to match his new neutral emo state, and he wears it around his neck on a chain.

These things are already clogging shelves at toys r us. I mean, black series figures this time around are even more difficult to find than last time. Walmart has zero interest in stocking anything, target is flooded with their exclusive troopers, and toys r us still can't get rid of their jyn's and zuvio's.

I don't think they're junk, but I hear you. If I didn't do photography regularly, not sure I'd jump in on these 2, at this price at least. But with the added use of having a mini-dio I can swap in for shots on demand with zero setup, it's worth it for me. If they don't bomb and the sets get more refined over time, has potential IMO.
