Hasbro Reveals New Venom and Carnage Figures for 2018

Sculpted teeth on venom and an all new Carnage seriously Hasbro is stepping up their game on making Marvel Legends like Jesus they're pumping out waves and figures left and right

Parademon1 02-02-2018 09:34 AM

That Venom & Carnage look much improved over the previous Hasbro versions, I just hope Carnage also comes with regular hands as well & that those tendrils on both of them are removable. Never been a big fan of the tendrils effect.

Boogieman4hire 02-02-2018 09:50 AM

So glad I never caved on getting the amazing spiderman 2 series carnage. This one is too awesome.

Jay West 02-02-2018 10:04 AM

That 2 pack is just a repack of the poorly articulated kids line figures. Closer to 5 inch scale.

metalalchemist 02-02-2018 10:07 AM

Wait, aside from the axe hand, what is the difference from the previous Spawn of symbiotes Carnage? (The one from the ultimate Goblin BAF)

Trivial Psychic 02-02-2018 10:26 AM

By just looking at it, nothing. Venom has a new headsculpt and a Symbiote boa. Carnage has new hands. Lame....

MUfan97 02-02-2018 10:38 AM

Obligatory reference to the fact that they could've easily made a 3.75 inch 2 pack with very little new sculpting needed.

Agreed. I have the original two from Hasbro, and I see no need to double dip and will most likely pass.

I am glad that they are doing this though, cause Carnage was a pain to get.

Spyne98 02-02-2018 11:07 AM

I like them. I’ll most likely pick them up. Big Carnage and Venom fan here.

hasbroherofan 02-02-2018 11:12 AM

I am guessing there might be a movie Venom coming down the line as well, but they can't show him yet.

I think it's good that they're re-releasing Carnage, the first one came out right at the time ML was really starting to pick up steam again so a fair amount of people missed out on him!

Boogieman4hire 02-02-2018 11:30 AM

Technically venom doesn't have a new headsculpt just a new lower jaw without a long tongue. Kind of makes him look more like a killer whale to me.

IrwinMFletcher 02-02-2018 12:27 PM

So here’s the thing, it’s clear Hasbro has made the choice this year to embrace the 6inch scale and not the 4inch. I get the economics of the toy industry it just sucks not to get both options anymore.

Exodus 02-02-2018 01:21 PM

Gee why don't they make a new 3.75 version of each sigh :(

GizmoTron 02-02-2018 01:22 PM

Don't mind another Venom and Carnage at all. They might even come with some "unmasked" heads, too, if Hasbro is being nice.

snake5289 02-02-2018 02:27 PM

Glad I can pass on the Venom since it's not that different from the last one. Definitely want Carnage to go up next too him though.

Yep, they rereleased the same figures, slapped on some new packaging and jacked up the price lol.

I’m convinced that Dwight Stall, or whoever is in charge of marvel toys at hasbro hates 3.75” collectors and figures... oh well :confused2

Tomax 02-02-2018 03:07 PM

horrible headsculpt! looks like a killer whale. ill stick to my diamond select Venom, best venom, ever! plus i dont collect or like canage. its a total pass for me

100% agree , though they might release more accessories... maybe ?? Still not enough for me to buy the same figure again. Also no updated body moulds which kinda sucks

Parademon1 02-02-2018 03:31 PM

Upon further review, as some have already stated, that Venom is the same as the previous version just no tongue sticking out version which I much prefer. I never got Carnage when it 1st came out as it was VHTF in my neck of the woods. So will be getting him. Just hope both come with alternate hands & head sculpts. These are the only 2 Spider symbiots that Marvel should ever had done IMO. What has come since then is an absolute waste & overkill. They are doing the same with DP. Wasted slots that could have been used on many never before done characters.

Snowflakian 02-02-2018 06:28 PM

Guess that fully confirms carnage for the movie.

Kind of surprised no cinematic two pack pics or re-release of the carnage figure from the older spider-man line. But that wouldn't be a difficult cinematic pack to do because of that anyway. Still hope they do one though even if it's repacks. Those were hard to find figures.

Hasbro usually keeps movie figures under wraps and show off the comic figures first. For instance Hasbro showed off King Cobra, Songbird and Taskmaster from the Infinity War wave last year but STILL haven't officially unveiled Cap, Iron Man or Spider-Man from the same wave yet.

Ummmm, yeah they did. Along with Proxima Midnight.

It'd be different if we got something... anything, really... but for them to keep announcing new waves/lines over and over this past week with nothing to show for us hurts.
