Cool. Still waiting on Fist of the North Star, however.

Same, plus those Golden Axe characters!

dukefett 12-10-2018 09:59 AM

FINALLY!!!! Someone else, Goro is an excellent figure and glad I stuck with the line now after they just pumped out every ninja they could. Looking forward to Baraka and more!

BWfan86 12-10-2018 10:19 AM

One of my favorite characters- I may finally bite on this line

I'm in the same boat. I even made an account here just for the Fist of the North Star license. I'm really hoping Storm Collectibles makes them in the 1/12 scale. Ken, Raoh & Rei are a must for me but as a North Star fan I may attempt to collect the whole line including variants. I'm curious if characters like Mamiya or Yuria will get figures. The same goes for minor villains like Zeed or Uighur.

MarvelGuy85 12-12-2018 10:28 AM

This looks cool. FINALLY someone else besides Ninjas lol. I can't wait to add Baraka to the collection.

Thanks! Looks like they dropped the full gallery and details on their FB Page. Posting now.

pre-ordered straight from Storm this time. the >gasp< $28 shipping is fricking ridiculous- but i don't want to be waiting 1-2 months later on BBTS again like Goro and Khan-

Haha I'm cheap so the wait is worth it to me. I went to their site to see if maybe it'd be worth it to buy a bunch and sell them early. To ship 6 of them it was $80. They're nuts, what are they wrapping it in gold bubblewrap?

Either way I'm super excited to get this guy and that we'll actually get some new characters that we saw at the cons this year. Hope they continue with the Kitana/Mileena/Jade mold next.

ludovicotek 01-04-2019 01:36 PM

Beautiful looking figure. Cannot wait. This MK line is easily one of my favorites from recent years. Happy we're getting beyond the ninjas.

You guys are so lucky to have $28 sound high. To ship to Canada, almost all of the US stores charge ~$35+ for a small figure, and that is not even including the import duties/brokerage fees etc.

Augustus_Cole 01-05-2019 04:10 AM

Dope A.F. can't wait.

buddyboy101 01-05-2019 06:18 AM

Storm is by far the best company in the 6 inch world. Everything they make drips with quality and high production value. Likenesses are always on point. Accessories are creative and detailed. Packaging is solid. And the figures feel great. I love their build quality, "meatiness" and durability. This Baraka figure is just another example of their craftsmanship. Now, hopefully they can correct that MK3 Sub Zero likeness that we saw months ago ;)

Also I think the shipping is expensive b/c they are shipped from overseas.

HeyThere everyone. Im kind of New. Honestly, i have "Ghosted" or spectated on thisnsite for years but decided to commit to a profile just to comment here today.

In regards to StormCollectibles, i noticed some of you said you ordered from the storm site directly for one reason or anoyther. Well i want to say good luck with that. When the "Lion Mane" Akuma from Street fighter 5 was up for Pre-order. I jumped at the opportunity to order from them. I got a confirmation that my payment was recived and order number. I would just like to say that i have yet to this day in 2019 ever recieve my figure. I have emailed them on there website and even tried to contact them through facebook. I have yet to even recieve a response. I havent even been re-imbursed and honestly. I was upset for the longest time.

In my opinion. If u want a figure from them. I think it woukd be better to just get it through a middle man like BBTS than try and deal with them directly. If anyone has actually dealt with them directly. Please respond and let me know. I would be curious to know if u have had a better experience than me.

johnpaul 01-06-2019 11:53 AM

Oh yeah thanks a lot for the headsup, probably won't be preordering from their site

Tomax 01-06-2019 12:07 PM

the white shoes are distracting and looks alittle too sporty. alittle black paint on the shoes would make it better

That really sucks, sorry to hear that but I mean after not receiving your item and not getting any responses didn't that prompt you at some point to file a claim with Paypal or do a chargeback with your bank?

Probably even better than preordering from BBTS is to preorder from Hobby Link Japan or Amiami. The're both reliable companies to deal with (I believe HLJ has been around as long as BBTS has), the price markup usually isn't as high as BBTS's typically is and they tend to get items in stock day of release.

I'll certainly let you know how it goes- I'm in several FaceBook StormCollectibles groups and have had chats with many people that do order direct- I have never heard of any issues prior to yours of Storm just bailing and refusing to make contact.

Zabuza 01-06-2019 08:21 PM

Well thats my experience unfortunately.
I really hope your nor anyone else would have to go through that. Its not fun at all.

I don't know man, Mythic Legions are pretty damn impressive as well and they're like half the price. Not trying to knock Storm Figures cause I absolutely love them as well. Just saying they have a little competition as far best company in the 6 inch line.

Very cool! I’m really surprised Liu Kang hasn’t heen released yet, but I love the character choices they’ve made. I too like to buy from Storm. I feel like we never really had good MK figures, so the wait has been long enough. If you can get it quicker, sometimes you pay more. I think I’ll wait though. I find that buying these from conventions is a great way to go.

Anyone know why Storm Collectibles changed the orientation of the arm blades? The release version of Baraka has different places for the blades on the forearms; they don't attach to the center of the forearms on the released version. The entire forearm seems resculpted, so the blades now come out from the underside of the forearm, so when you bend the arms the blades align with his elbow and not the top of his hands (like Wolverine or Predator). It makes putting him in some of his iconic photos a lil wonky. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't seem screen accurate to me, nor does it seem to improve posing. It seemed perfect before the change, and I really wonder why they altered the forearms shown on the prototype and promotional photos.
The teeth aren't metallic colored for the release version, which is a change I am very happy about. I was planning on painting the teeth once it arrived, now I won't have to.
(pics aren't mine, I took them from toyark and someone who reviewed Baraka on FB. First two pics are promos, other two are in-hand)
