Damn. Was really hoping for a Venom movie version of Venom and Riot. I love my Poison Ko Venom, but really want the big, wet, slimy looking movie version.

I saw the Cosbaby movie venom and thought that was a hint. Oh well. Hopefully for Venom 2 we’ll get something.

mort 07-18-2019 07:09 AM

Could really use a Marvel Select of Marvel Legends version of that Punisher War Machine... get on it, Hasbro/DST...

Alucard1138 07-18-2019 07:17 AM

Batman Forever Robin... I don't know who asked for that, I don't see that selling well.

cjflan32 07-18-2019 07:58 AM

Reason #46 in what's turned into my week long anti-Hot Toys rant:

It's very hard to get excited about any of these figures when this company has DOZENS of unproduced prototypes shown off at previous SDCC's going back to at least 2017, maybe earlier.

Typical Hot Toys. Fans scream bloody murder for Penguin and Catwoman but they go the laziest possible route. Complete waste.

Chris O’Donnell... wishing people actually remembered him?

MarvelGuy85 07-18-2019 08:10 AM

Didn't take pics of the ps4 Spiderman Hot Toys or did I just miss them somewhere? I know there are quite a few new figures in that display. Plus they have a picture of the Spiderman Into the Spiderverse poster so it looks like they have the license for that.

Also Venompool looks awesome! He is huuuuuuuge. Prolly a $500 figure right there.

And yea I say that Batman Forever Robin, along with Yon Rogg don't ever get released lol. I'm not sure how many people bought the Marvel Legends $20 Yon Rogg, let alone a $250 figure.

Have they even shown off a Batman to go with it? That's a really left-field figure haha

MegaPrime33 07-18-2019 08:19 AM

There's no way they're going to produce that Star Fighter, that's for sure.

Barnatoys 07-18-2019 08:25 AM

Come on, a forever Robin? Really? Where are Catwoman and Pinguin from Batman Returns?
Damend...

fightthedead118 07-18-2019 08:30 AM

Lol, that Yon-rogg ain’t never coming out

It's a two-pack with Chris O'Donnell Robin. :D

LOL for real wouldn't that be something. They can call it "collector's pack of figures we produced without thinking of how much demand there really is and now we need to sell them for something to make some sort of profit so please buy"

Yeah, who cares? Still, if it does get released, this male character wearing the cinematic Kree Starforce costume is probably the closest we'll ever get to the authentic Mar-Vell "Captain Marvel."

Nebula looks great, Wasp too. And check out Wicket!

I'm kinda glad that there are no big surprises here, since I need to curb my spending. Did anybody see Far From Home Spider-Man (red-and-black Upgrade Suit) on display? (Edit: Never mind, found it.) I mention the Upgrade Suit because of all the spidey suits, that IMO is most authentic thus far. It appears that we're going to have to start numbering Spidey suits the way we used to number Iron Man suits.

ShabbyBlue 07-18-2019 09:57 AM

Batman Forever Batman and Robin is really unexpected. Does Hot Toys really think there's strong demand for those more than the Batman Returns Catwoman and Penguin everyone has been wanting for the last several years? I wonder if there's an expensive or difficult license issue with Michelle Pfeiffer for Catwoman. We've seen her depicted in recent statues, so I can't imagine she's off limits to Hot Toys to produce. And if NECA was able to do a 1/4 scale Devito Penguin, surely Hot Toys can do a 1/6 scale figure.

Nametaken 07-18-2019 10:35 AM

But still, if you got the cash that Robin would go well with any other HT batman.

Not if it's true that he's only being released in a 2-pack with Kilmer Batman.

Yes. I mentioned that up above. There is a whole Spidey hot toys display which shows the homecoming suit, the new far from home suit, the ps4 suit, and then alot of new reveals like the ps4 negative suit, ps4 velocity suit, and ps4 iron spiderman suit (aka class comic cival war suit) which all look awesome! Not sure why there are no pictures here?

Thanks, Joe. All of this is appreciated very much. :thumbs

Black Arbor 07-18-2019 03:53 PM

Praying we get a FFH Mysterio over here...

protostar8 07-18-2019 03:53 PM

Just curious, is there a company that KO's Hot Toys figures? I've seen some cheaper ones (sub $100) and that makes me wonder if they are genuine or some kind of KO? The new HT figures are what, like $250 and up for something like a Spider-Man?
