I kind of suspected the Jason figures would be coming back when Scream Factory announced their huge box set of every F13th movie, this is badass!!!

So they cleared up that whole legal snafu

I was reading an update from Larry Zerner (see here), a lawyer who has been keeping close tabs on the case, who also happened to play Shelly in Part 3. Basically, a year ago, WB said no new items can be made at all for Friday the 13th.

However, those keeping up on the lawsuit realized that the only thing that could technically be problematic is completely new creations in the Friday the 13th universe (new movies, books, tv shows, original takes on Jason). So new merchandise of existing films would be ok. Because of that, WB has apparently lifted restrictions on merchandise.

Hooray for legal backdoor fuckery!

This has been the best reveal so far imo. I did not expect we'd see anything new from Friday the 13th for a long time. The prototype looks really impressive. I hope this means we'll be seeing more soon. I think we all would like to know what else NECA had planned before everything got axed. IIRC, there was another accessory pack, and some sort of 40th anniversary set.

Time to churn out 8, 9 and X before minds are changed.

I still keep hoping that we will get a Freddy figure from Freddy Vs Jason to go with the Jason one.

You know what, I stand by it. :)

You know, depending how low on Dr. Crews' abdomen Jason went with that thing, it certainly could have been a "wee wacker." :)

I seriously want a Jason Goes to Hell figure. Like before anything else. (I don't care if it makes me crazy.)

Before they had to pause Jason releases, their plan was to get to an Ultimate for each version.

Oh. Wow. Neca seems to be hitting it out of the park of late.

Has there been any word on Neca holding a fan event or something like a late toyfair? I know Diamond and hasbro are doing reveals in April.

They've held events in New Jersey previously, and I'd be more than willing to drive back down to that shithole state (no offence) to interact with Randy and his cohorts, 100 percent. Between Friday the 13th and The Thing, they've earned my eternal allegiance. :)

This!! That could be the most epic Freddy figure, lots of interchangeable parts, heads... looking forward it to be unlocked from the legal issues.

If there is a flaw. IF. It is that this makes the others look not so.....ultimate. Again, if there is a flaw.

Four more Jason's to go and we have every version in ultimate form (Manhattan, hell, Jason x and uber). While incredibly unlikely it would be awesome if they finished off with a Savini Jason.

They can't do the Savini Jason. The game developers weren't allowed to license anything original from their game. As soon as it was announced, NECA contacted them about the design.

So what happened to this figure? It was supposed to release in March and it's not even on NECA's release calendar for April now.
