Cable WITHOUT Baby Hope
 

Ok folks...before I act a fool and make an overpriced purchase I may regret...is the Baby-less Cable the running change?

Yes it is. From the looks of it, the Cable without Hope will become the norm. Don't jump the gun on this one. The upcoming revision cases with Cable have him without her.

I just picked one up from walmart. No baby hope.

Ok, now I'm a bit confused, from packaging pictures I've seen, I understood that the baby hope was removable and that the figure came with another front plate you could replace with.

There are 2. One has the interchangeable chest with Hope. The other does not have a Hope, period.

So which one is better? Lol personally I like the baby hope version.

Yeah I want the one with Hope, and I've never even seen a Cable period :(

So... if I am understanding right... the new Cable will be utterly and completely without hope.
I know his future timeline is suppossed to be bleak, but... damn.

Friend of a friend got a Hopeless Cable at my local Wal-Mart.

You guys need to put more details in your posts. Most of you don't even have your location specified by your avatar. It would be nice to know where there's still Hope and where Hope is lost. The name of whatever store would help too.

Uk buyer, pre-ordered the wave in March from Kapow toys who likely order from BBTS.
My cable came with the interchangeable chest piece. I'm chuffed that I got the pre-running change version, mostly because I really like the story-line the figure comes from.

So what happened to Cable having interchangable chest armors?? And do we know why they have made the change?? I mean if he ONLY came with hope originally i can see the point of the running change,but when you have the option of with or without....why change that??

What's just as weird is that the running change is implemented at the same time as the first sightings of the original figure. It's like some weird running change-variant hybrid to further confuse collectors.
I feel pretty bad for those people that have spent $99 on ebay for the non-hope version when that seems to be the one that's more common, if you can call the figure common at all.

If anyone is interested, I picked up hopeless cable, apocalyse and cyclops from walmart two days ago. PM me if your willing to trade. I already have these figures and picked these up for a fello collector. I didn't want to leave it in the wild for some scalper to pick up.

I'm assuming the with Hope version is going to end up being the rarer and they either treated us with a variant like this, or cut some funds while making him.

Adding to the Marvel baby conspiracy, I have three Cables (evil laugh).. one with Hope, and two without. I got the one with Hope today at Walmart and the two without from tru.com. The back of the card reflects the version you have. It looks like one of my no baby Cables has the wrong insert. There is no baby in that package :D

J'YEA ! just ordered 2 Cable w/ Hope..shit Im more of a hunter vs a webber getter lol But all that gas $, bridge tolls and despair lately is worth 45 clams..WINK!

In my opinion no kid is going to want a baby stuck to the front of his action figure, but a collector with knowledge of the character Hope and her history with Cable would want it pretty badly. I think the version with Hope is a nod to collectors, and now that Hasbro has given us what we want they will focus on the general market.

$100. For an action figure that can be found at any retail store...eventually. Don't feel bad, just don't make that same mistake.

Yeah, I'm giving up on finding this fig. The drive & hunt isn't worth it this time around. Eventually I'll find it...maybe.
