marvel digital comics archangel giveaway
Hi guys,
I'm new here and not sure if this topic was already discussed but I'd like to get your thoughts and experiences on this. I collect marvel universe and have most of the exclusives and am trying to get the Arcangel in x-force costume exclusive. The prices on ebay are expensive for it. I went over to the marvel website and on the comics section they are offering an Archangel x-force to those who sign up for a years worth of digital comics which is roughly $60. Checking google, I found comments that some are skeptical of this offer since it is only good till the product is in stock and naturally then don't tell you if they have any in stock. Has anyone out there gone through the process with success? Any complaints or warnings? Thanks for your info on this matter. |
This would help me out as well. Best I know, I emailed and they said the offer is sill good. But, like you said, they didn't say how many were left in stock

Can't help you. I signed up at SDCC and got mine right away. But I'm sure they have more than enough. They just say they run low to get you to sign up.
|
I would go ahead and sign up, and if a month goes by without any sign of your Archangel showing up in the mail, contact them and raise hell.
|
I didn't know this was even an option. THanks for bringing it up!

It says 8-13 weeks for delivery, so I'd wait more than a month.
I signed up last week, so we'll see. If I don't get one, I'm out $5 for shipping, and got unlimited access to tons of comics. I don't see how I can lose. However, I will not be keeping the archangel if I get it. I shall offer it up for sale or trade to anyone who missed the boat. |

@Behindthemask: No dibs yet. I'll post it in my trade/sale thread, and you can pm ME with an offer. It's fair game for everyone. ;)

Essentially it's something like this
MARVEL UNIVERSE 3.75" 3 3/4 X-MEN ANGEL ARCHANGEL RARE | eBay This is not the mailaway xforce version, but this seller and some sellers like him from time to time like every other week have loose versions of him either for a fairly cheap buy it now price or start at a low opening bid, shipping is usually fairly cheap and the items are shipped fast. You just have to check, when you do a search go action figures, then search Marvel Universe Archangel, and then subsearch under used items, helps you narrow it down, I honestly don't have the exact seller, but a lot of these foreign guys have access to tons of the same toys so they sell a lot 1 week hold off for a few then sell more, goes in cycles. |
I'll still just customize one. I have....other ways of getting my comics..

Also let me know if you got cash for Task and DP, he is getting dusty on my wall Mask! THEY NEED A HOME!

They're still available (or were). I believe that the Nick Fury's were also still available at some point and were apparently sold or given away at one of the conventions in place of the Archangel figures, or so I heard somewhere.
|
Oh wouldn't tha tbe nice... I'd much rather have Nick than Archangel.

I say you sign up. They wouldn't make you pay s&h just to run out. It's a sales tactic. They have plenty.

It took about a month and a half for me to get mine, and I signed up early. I'm so tempted to open him up.

Only trouble opening SDCC stuff and mail away stuff is your conscience telling you, as soon as that plastic leaves cardboard your figure's value just went down in half. I had 2 Ironman 2 3packs, still moc that I hummed and hawed keeping moc, but last night free'd them from their plastic jails mainly because I made room to display them. My SDCC Thor remains MOC though.

Action figure value goes down like 90% as soon as it's a couple months old. Star Wars figues I bought new were selling for $50+ on ebay, now I get a trade-in value of less than a dollar at the local collector toy shop. There's not really much point in saving them mint, because someone else somewhere has a mint archive copy for when the museums want one. Otherwise it's just a toy.
