2012 ML Archangel

This is one figure I can't wait for, I'm really hoping he's in his X-force colors. What do you guys think the possibility is we get a variant ApocAngel?http://i.marvelousnews.com/g/albums/...//IMG_7517.jpg

Shin Densetsu 12-18-2011 07:10 PM

high possibility imo

I think for sure if there will be variants Archangel is a sure bet. I'd like to see both costume variants, but also a "Face 'o Death" variant as well.

Yes his 1st app. horseman look would be awesome! What really impresses me is his wingspan, have there been any other figures with wings that large?

I share your enthusiasm. Archangel is my fav character, so you know how I feel. As for the apocalypse variant, I don't know. That would require lots of new sculpting. I really hope it's X Force, and it makes sense since were getting Fantomex in X Force colors. I wouldnt mind a classic variant though, but if they are only making him in one color scheme it has to be X Force. ToyBiz already gave us a classic Archangel, so....yeah. Nuff Said.

Snowflakian 12-18-2011 07:26 PM

I hope it's in uncanny x-force colors. That'd rock.

behindthemask 12-18-2011 07:30 PM

xforce colors would rock, then I'd need to repaint my x-23, get fantomex, repaint a wolverine figure or buy the xforce version.

Probably not. But what worries me is that some people are saying he's gonna be a SDCC exclusive. I mean, if Hasbro can pull of making him a regular release fig plus a BAF part, they would be so awesome. That's just me though. I just hope he's released as a single fig. If not, I'll have to pay a higher price.

Snowflakian 12-18-2011 07:35 PM

I'm really hoping for Uncanny X-Force over X-Force. Mostly so it fits with Fantomex and what looks like a plan to create the Uncanny team in ML, while MU has a focus on the X-Force team.

I'm hoping he's released as retail as well. But, if not, I'll know to start saving now, as I'm sure he'll go for a hefty price.

Exclusivity worries me too. Considering the previous MU one was one, I could see this happening again for the XF or UXF one.

My only hope is whichever ends up exclusive, the other ends up on shelves since they are two different costumes. It's a loop hole MU could use too.

Seeing that this my only main want from the new ML series, I'm prepared to pay a little extra to have both. But after seeing Jean Grey and Stryfe, I might need to save a bit more than I thought lol.

Hmm. First of all, maybe Hasbro won't do it as an exclusive b/c they already made the X Force one as an exclusive, and the regular one was VERY hard to find.

Second of all, I don't think there will be two separate X Force ones. They will probably go with the first X Force since the UXF one requires other sculpted one details. But I might be wrong because the pic they showed is a prototype. I'm happy with either one as long as it's X Force.

With how masterful hasbro is at repaints. I'd think they could do both. If the lines are sculpted in for the normal X-Force/X-factor one, they could just have those lines be silver instead of the filled silver/pink front of the other. That's the main difference between the designs anyway. One is filled silver, and the other is only the lines silver to avoid the full color space.

I guess you're right. Besides Archangel, I'd like to get X23, Wolverine, Deadpool, Deathlok, Psylocke, AoA Nightcrawler, all in X Force colors.

You could be right too. They may wow us later with a real sculpted UXF Archangel.

They did say that anyone covered before isn't offlimits this go around. So any of them could be fair game. XF wolverine shouldn't be far off, and Fantomex already in, I'd suspect they would cover more like you suggested. Probably at a pace of 1 per wave though or 1 every other wave.

Yeah, they showed a X Force Wolverine at SDCC '09, I'm guessing he will be released. Deadpool is a fan favorite. The rest would have to be pure luck just like Warren here, or maybe just Hasbro 's desire to finish off teams.

Oh and I almost forgot, the UXF costume would need a X on the waist.

Considering how well UXF sells. I'd say hasbro may have a desire to do them since the demand for the comic is currently so high with remender behind it. ML is more fan oriented than say MU that caters to both fans and kids.

behindthemask 12-18-2011 09:19 PM

x-force deadpool, archangel and fantomex are no brainers also wolverine. X-23 and psylocke would be a bit of a push, but could be done. I'd buy em.

Exodus 12-18-2011 09:29 PM

I agree with every one!! Although would prefer the ones that haven't been made in the MU line :P

deadpool 12-18-2011 10:14 PM

Is there men't to be a pic?

Psylocke I could see being done soon, but yeah X-23 might be awhile.
Psylocke just seems to have the larger history to build a fanbase on, and being in UXF just makes it all the more likely.

Yeah I agree. Especially considering Fantomex is getting made. They'll go with the newest X-Force members first before they hit X-23 and the others.

DogFashionDisco 12-18-2011 11:16 PM

Does anyone actually have a picture of this figure?

So happy he's taking over Secret Avengers!
