DC Collectibles ICONS Appreciation Thread
Stole the idea from everyone before me. Don't know if the ICONS line will catch on and they don't scale with DC Classics but I didn't see a thread for them.
I wasn't really on board with a new scale but have to say after having in hand I am enjoying the Batman so far and with the possibility of these being improved here's hoping we get some cool pics of these figures. |
Here's my review I did of the Last Rites Batman. Would love to hear how the rest of the figures from the first wave stack up because I am still on the fence a little on buying the rest of the wave.

I feel like this could go into the regular DC 6" appreciation thread since they are close enough in size. There was once a thread started just for the DCC 7" figures but that ended up being absorbed into the regular 6" thread and those figures are even more out of scale with DCUC than these. I think it just makes it easier to put everything in the general same size area (or close enough at least) within the same thread so we don't end up with a 6" thread, a 7" thread, and an Icons thread to split the attention.

i thought icons were replacing the DC universe line or something like that , though dont take my word on it.

If we're going to give it its own thread, then:

As for the hood, it is not removable, however, it is made of a really soft plastic. As such, you might be able to heat it up and mold it down if you want. |
I'm waiting for the inevitable black/gray Batman, maybe a modern GA too.

I grew up on the yellow oval but I prefer the black&gray with the black trunks and black bat.

I'm being strict with myself only going for characters from the JLA/JSA virtue and Vice comic book
might get redhood and the outlaws if they do that , seems they do classic and new 52 |

Don't forget he appeared in the STAS episode where Superman was pretending to be Batman. Fun episode.
|
Yeah, he appeared in that and the Mystery of the Batwoman movie, which is where they gave him that horrid accent.
I think his appearance in TAS was to show that he was really only a one trick pony and there was nothing more behind his character other than a marketing gimmick. |
He was great in Arkham Origins. Probably my favorite villain in the game.

I was way late to the Mattel DCU line so when this line was announced I was really excited. I like the figures so far, but do hope that keep it up with a mix of popular and obscure characters.
I would love to see a decent Batman Beyond figure. |
I love the look of this line but $25-$28 maybe $30 with tax in some stores is just way too much. I may regret not getting them down the road but those prices are crazy.
