New Captain America Civil War 6" AND 3.75" Toys Revealed
|
Dam it , i hope IM has swap-able hands , cap looks the same as AOU one
Falcon why aren't you taller ????... Good find EDIT- Not sure about panther atm seeing i have the toy-biz one if he comes with swap-able hands then maybe but i doubt it , wonder if movie spider-man will be included in this wave or separate. it also occurred to me Hasbro did good on naming both scale legends , i might see 6 inch legends in stores that don't normally sell them |
Defiantly getting the Iron Man 2.5" playset. Have all three from that scale to build the Avengers Tower. It scales well enough with 3.75" if you take off a few bits and add some random stuff. I will post pics in the MU compatible thread when it is finished being painted.

It's pretty cool that we're at least getting some figures in the MU scale. Hopefully they release more than just Cap and Falcon.
|
Now I see that the Cap'n America tooling budget went to the MU sized figure, and the 6" collectors get the shaft with a crummy repaint :(

Glad to see Black Panther, hopefully a few more movie characters make it out this time.
But why, why, WHY are they calling the 4” figures Legends now. Most companies take steps to fight brand confusion, Hasbro seems to be actively promoting it. It’s not enough that the same characters are being released in different scales at the same time, we need to make sure the names of the lines are not at all distinct. Marvel Legends has been a brand for 15 years, why create confusion now? Must be the same geniuses who brought us Star Wars: The Black Series – one name, two scales. |
Probably because they don't care about the 3.75 figures anymore. It's all about the Legends these days.
If Cap and Falcon are anything like Ant-Man they'll be fine but somewhat disappointing and then you'll have to add some of the missing details. Unfortunately for them they don't have the added bonus of being Ant-Man. I gave him a pass for that reason alone. |
Great. I love movie figures as it forces Hasbro to make new sculpts.

Really digging the legends 3.75, and if anything, it's a nice tease for Infinity War. Falcon probably won't be getting a new costume, so they can repack that one then. The updated cap looks pretty sweet too.
The mini-verse playsets look really nice too. I don't collect that scale, but I gotta admit the diorama potential is pretty sweet. Maybe someday they'll upscale the releases. It is neat to have a space ship scale to combine with GOTG. Makes the current helicarriers seem even bigger too. Loving the fact they are pursuing the Legends 3.75 figures though overall. It means we might get a Black Panther among others when their films come up. We might get lucky with this one and get Vision and Black Widow too in a wave 2. Or Vision and Scarlet Witch though I don't think she has her costume in this one yet. The titan series Widow costume looks sweet too. Very classic comic but modernized. I hope that becomes her new suit by Infinity War. I'd love a figure of that. Hawkeye looks like they could straight up still repack his figure from Avengers 1, maybe with a little redeco. Hopefully by Infinity War's Legends 3.75 series his costume will be ready for a figure too. Anyone else excited at the prospect of this Legends 3.75 MCU line? Cause it looks like we might actually get the MCU Thanos later too. Possibly even Ronan during GOTG2 as a two pack. Kinda curious what the cap bike can do. Surprised they didn't repaint the First Avenger/XMO motorcycle since the Cap2 shields fit so perfectly on the headlight with their plastic straps. Overall, it's a great tease for Infinity War, but it does feel more like blockbuster toyline filler for something better later to keep recouping costs until then. |
The Cap with Bike is cool, like how they did it with Ant-Man and the Ant. But totally passing on these :p It seems my $ is going towards more TF figures these days :P

We really need to support this Legends MCU 3.75 line.
If it does well, we could see more of them because it's profitable and has market data demand. The more demand for them, the more likely we might get the TV side done this way too. Like Deathlok and Coulson. Quake and Melinda May. Mockingbird and Maria Hill. Daredevil and Elektra. Punisher and his gear. Jessica Jones and Kilgrave. Okay that last one isn't likely to happen, but Jessica Jones and Luke Cage as a two pack might. Or Iron Fist and Misty Knight. But none of that can happen if sales on a line like this don't show the clear demand of how much we want them. So if we want more MCU 3.75 we need to show it with our wallets so retail chains beg for more. If retail chains start bugging hasbro about making more of them because they sell so well, we'll get more of them outright. Major retail outlets are who buy direct from hasbro, while we buy from the retail outlets. The mass orders of places like walmart, target, and toys r us have the most sway at Hasbro. |
BP looks pretty good but I honestly think SH Figuarts will do wayy better.

Loving the 6" Black Panther and Iron Man figures. I hope those aren't the only movie figures in the 6 inch scale we get aside from Cap. I really wouldn't mind a Scarlet Witch. I think she is rumoured though, right? The 3.75" Legends Cap looks a bit off in the proportions department for me but Falcon looks neat. Very happy to see that the 5 POA 3.75" figures seem to a thing of the past. Hopefully the new line will get enough support to continue through the future of the MCU.

I can hardly believe my eyes, is that a new Iron Man sculpt?! How long has it been? Count me excited.

I was hoping these cheap figures with no articulation would die off by now, but it looks like we will never get good 3.75 in. figures again. :( At least the Legends Iron Man looks cool. And we finally got a 12 in. Titan of Black Widow so nobody can say Hasbro hates women, even though it's a terrible looking figure.

Aw for F*ck's sake, MORE 2.5" to clutter the aisles. I guess they really want to warm the pegs even more. Well at least we don't hear about kids choking on them...maybe we should, would that stop them from making more? I'm sorry, excuse me for that.
The 2.5" do have good sculpts to them. I just want to have better 3.75" offerings. |
