DC Collectibles at Toy Fair 2017
|
Supergirl looks solid, might be worth the price point. And I knew they had to make a joker expression pack lol, glad to see it.
|
No new Icons since the teaser earlier? Disappointing, unless there are more reveals planned.
|
Supes and Doomsday look incredible. So many heads and blood and I hope they include that base.....incredible.
|
quite a few of those DC figures are tempting. i can see i'll be buying quite of few of their new items.
|
Man, was really hoping to see Thea/Speedy get a figure... The last member of Team Arrow not to have one...:(
|
The Animated Series stuff is amazing! Especially the expressions pack Batman. I do think that the whole box set theme will hurt this line. $175 is a common number right now, we need single releases for these amazing pieces. Bane, Poison Ivy, Freeze are most wanted.

I don't think it is far-fetched to have expected a Supergirl TV series Superman, especially since Kid Flash is being shown. I hope they release images or teases this weekend or in 6 months. That would be a must-get if they did the facesculpt right.
|
I wish Superman also came with a non-bruised head to replace the current Icons Superman head.
|
So Icons Nightwing has been delayed AGAIN?!!!!!
Man, I really want the Batman and WW in that 7 pack, but they do me no good without any accessories. If I wanted Batman with only fists I would have stuck with Mattel's figures. |

Still no Speedy?

So is that it from DC? No other reveals? No updated looks at the delayed figures? No updates on release dates?

I was hoping for Injustice 2 figures. Particularly Swamp Thing.
Though I guess they still have some time before the game comes out to reveal those. |
I'm mostly glad that DCC's reveals for TF have been small. What they've revealed looks good, and in the mean time they can concentrate on their factory issues.
Also, I'm looking forward to Pixel Dan's inevitable interview with their rep. I'm hoping Dan will be able to get an update on their situation. Quote:

Wasn't Poison Ivy supposed to be part of the BTAS multipack?

Update – one piece of info we got but were unable to relay during the show due to the craziness of the day – DC Films figures have been cancelled. All of them. The only ones that will exist are the ones that just came out – Armored Batman and Superman from DoJ. This was due to the fact that many of DC’s partners do similar things in similar scales and it was hard to stand out to retailers needing to make decisions on purchasing. The decided to pull back and let their partners do their thing. Some may work themselves in via different lines later on, but the full “DC Films” line as it was presented at Toy Fair 2016 is not happening.

They didn't show the DC Icons - Rebirth Green Lantern "Jessica Cruz" Figure from last year's SDCC "not allowed to photograph" figures. Are we getting that at all or is the mattel version going to be the only version to be released?
|
Well... the Pixel Dan video was a big disapointment. Not once were release dates or delays in-general brought up. No update on their situation at all...
Also, while it was an off-hand comment, the rep cconfirmed a rumor for the Animated line. Apparently Batgirl is going to be one of the last solo releases for the line... meaning future releases are pretty much all multi-packs... meaning that 5-pack with the TAS versions of Ivy, Crock, Bane, and Freeze will be the only way to get those versions of the villains... and Montoya. I really like the stuff you make DCC, but you're really becoming a frustrating company to try and follow. Quote:
Part of me is curious to see how they would go about releasing any of the DC films figures as a part of another line. Not unless they redesigned them to be Icons figures, or somehow found a way to justify releasing them with the TV figures... like a cinimatic Flash from 2 worlds 2-pack of TV and movie Flash. Though no matter what, I doubt they'll release any of them. Quote:

Personally, I think the Mattel version looks good as-is, and the Icons line has been a real clusterfrak for about a year now with no sign of changing, so I wouldn't bother with the Icons version. No unless you're really intent on building a collection of Icons figures. |
