Fortnite Figures coming from McFarlane
McFarlane Toys today announced a new partnership with Epic Games to create a range of Fortnite™ premium collectible figures, related accessories and resin statues, in a deal brokered by IMG.
The new Fortnite branded collection will feature seven-inch premium figures from the Fortnite franchise and high-end accessories. "The Fortnite brand has taken on global status and continues to grow each day. The game, with its sense of skill and irreverent fun, now has hundreds of character options to choose from, which is a tremendous blueprint for making any successful toy and action figure line,” said Todd McFarlane, CEO and Founder of McFarlane Toys. "The developer's art team at Epic Games wants to bring that same attitude into the creation of their toys, and everyone here at McFarlane Toys will be doing all we can to bring Fortnite fans the very best products,” said McFarlane. “With such a deep and visually interesting library to choose from, I have no doubt that we will be able to showcase both current and 'classic' looks from the Fortnite franchise. After talking with some of the top creators at Epic Games, I’m delighted they are as stoked about our partnership to make cool toys as we are!" Donald Mustard, Worldwide Creative Director of Epic Games commented: “We’ve been fans of Todd and McFarlane Toys for years and years, and it’s been a dream come true to have an opportunity to collaborate with them. I’ve seen some of the prototypes and they’re so sweet... I think players are just going to be blown away.” Launching in Fall 2018, the collection will be available for purchase from mass retail stores. -Source |

I don't know what Fortnite is, but if the designs are cool, I'll probably get a few.

When I saw Fortnite in the title preview I was expecting something horrible and cringe worthy.
EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED. |
Oh, is McFarlane finally bothering to up their articulation game?

Don't know much about Fortnite but I just looked up a gallery of character skins, and I gotta say it's got quite a few cool designs in the game. Most are vague or generic enough designs that they could fit in well with other properties. I'd really love to get a few of them, that is if the pink nightmare up above doesn't rot the pegs.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much articulation the Borderlands Zero figure had- if these are comparable then I'll be down for picking a few up.

Knowing zero about Fortnite, I assume this is a game about furries?

It also features customizable player characters, outfits, and other gear. It's a free to play title that offers cartoony parody homages to many similar lines and licenses. That range from GI Joe, Metal Gear, and anything military or action game/franchise oriented and more(including stuff like Jinx, Suicide Squad, Care bears, and other random mascot suit stuff). So you can kick butt looking close to like any popular or other title's characters without actually being that character. It's also heavily popular right now, and has already raked in billions of dollars at a faster pace than even minecraft did. It's available on PC, Switch, Xbox, and PS4. |
This actually does look quite good. Articulation is hopefully better than your usual McStatues.
Being able to bring these colorful figures to the Targets and Walmarts of the world where kids can see and buy them is going to help the game remain relevant. Smart decision by Epic to go the domestic route. (looking at Overwatch's slow, expensive and inaccessible releases of figures via GSC/figma) |

then seasonal stuff Then the game has "seasons" with a set theme. early season had Knights for example, Next seasons was more military(including a John Wick inspired character), next was a super hero season, currently its time travel themed with Vikings atm. Then they have a store that the put "super special" characters up every so ofter. |
She survived Walter White's pool!

Seriously, it took 2018 and lincense from a game series like Fortnite for them to actually put really articulation instead of making bench warmer statues that no body wants?. Which if that's the case I hope McFarlane Toys actually continues making more figures this articulated even the holy grail dream of having a real highly articulated Spawn figure by they seriously it's long over due |
