What Marvel Legends project would you like to see Haslab take on?
After seeing people have fun with Jabba's sail barge, it got me thinking that the ML community needs something similar. So as a Marvel Legends collector, what large, expensive product would you be willing to invest in?
My vote would be an MCU Hall of Armor with every suit that was featured in Iron Man 3. |
I would dig a Hall of Armor of some kind, or a Helicarrier. I feel like doing a full hall with every armor might be a little too ambitious and would have one hell of a price tag, but it would be so freaking cool. Same with a Helicarrier. It would be HUGE!
I would also like some slightly larger vehicles, like the Punisher Van, FantasitCar, or the Spider Buggy. That kind of stuff would be really cool! |
The X-Men's Blackbird

Another crazy idea would be the top portion of Avengers Tower. Like the Helicarrier, it's too big unless you fudge the scale. Maybe make it only 3 or 4 feet high. Also consider making it something that can be easily disassembled. |
How about a Cartoon and Video Game sub line.

1. Punisher Van
2. 5’ Tall Galactus 3. X-men Blackbird 4. X-men Danger room 5. IM Hall of Armor |
These ideas have been great. I actually got a bit inspired yesterday and started designing a Fantasticar for 3D printing. Turns out, it's going to be pretty large.
I'd love if they did some kind of Build a Danger Room where we got a part with each figure in a wave. Could be neat. Or you know... just sell a Danger Room. |
An honest to goodness Legends scale diorama. Nothing with cheesy play features and trap doors...something not unlike what Neca just put out, or similar to the old WWE playsets, but taken up a notch with scaled accessories and customizable pieces. Give us a Danger Room, a disheveled city block, a dystopian or alien landscape, or a simple alleyway or shipping dock. I'd buy them all.

for mcu only: ancient one, heimdall, odin, wong, armored version valkyrie, quicksilver, the three warriors
comics: an updated ronan,dr doom and odin; then destroyer, starhawk, beyonder, vulcan, franklin richards |

Or, in some cases, figures to just add to standard waves. |

Avengers Quinjet.

Honestly, with Hasbro nearly having made almost all of the fan favorites and now working on redos of old TB figs, moving into vehicles and playsets seems like a logical choice and fans would eat them up. Plus box sets of teams would go over huge too.

I agree that they should do game sublines when feasible. But most games just copy existing suits. I’d really love a “vintage” line, similar to Star Wars. I remember when I was a kid, there were TONS of 3” figures from different toy lines that could interact with each other, even though their brands could be different, etc. Today, most toylines (other than Tmnt) seem overly aimed at adult collectors. 6” figures are great for a detolf, but are too big for elaborate playsets, vehicles, and other imagination enhanced accessories. My ideal vintage marvel line would be 3.75” Kenner style figures done in the original Kirby costumes, painted to look like inked drawings instead of “realistic” humans, along with vehicles and a few playsets such as the Marvel New York playset, with interactive “buildings” of avengers tower, daily bugle, and Baxter buildings with a cardboard backdrop with a 3 color inked skyline. At 3.75” they could do a lot of the oversized figures like Galactus at the 12” size without breaking the bank. Dunno about anyone else, but I’d buy the hell out of ‘em. |
The dream would be a Marvel Legends Blackbird for the X-Men, but it looks like that’d have to be over 9.5’ long, so I’m not holding my breath.
Still, I’m an X fan, so maybe Mastermold with two 2’ - 2.5’ Sentinels. Really, if they made anything large that worked with Marvel Legends, I’d probably be onboard. Have fun! |
A budget priced Danger Room... huge, but cheap since it is basically just an empty room display.

For it to be a HasLab production it would have to be not just Epic, but Iconic as well... something more than just Marvel Legend collectors would support and drop $400+ for. The only thing that comes to mind for me in the world of Marvel is Galactus. A massive, 4ft tall Devourer of Worlds.

But seriously, that would be neat, I have no idea where I could put that. |

But anyone that knows StarWars will instantly recognize the Sail Barge, that's iconic enough to to move enough units to make it happen. If you were to ask 4000 people to invest $400 for a 6in scale blackbird i think the only buyers will be Marvel Legends collectors. Period. Even the QuinJet has had so many looks it's not possible to nail down the "definitive" look- so again: Marvel Legend collectors is all you hit. With something like Galactus your actually hitting Marvel Legends collectors as well as Marvel Comic fans in general that might want a massive Galactus in their shop or home or anywhere- it's got appeal outside of Marvel Legend Action Figure Collectors. And to make it happen (since Marvel Legends Collectors are not anywhere the same number as Star Wars collectors) you have ti have that kind of appeal.
