Barnyard Commandos Pre-Orders
|
I'm probably just going to wait and order from BBTS after this preorder phase, wish I would've done that with the Madballs. I'd also like to see more real parts to these instead of renders, but I'll get them regardless.
|
These look awesome, but I'm still holding out for the Premium DNA Battletoads figures. ^^
|
Despite having more articulation, it still appears they're trapped in a biped-quadruped dichotomy.

I wish they would give good pics though too, they obviously have some more accessories that's not shown on all of them. |
These look cool for what they are. Unfortunately, I have zero nostalgia for them, so won’t be getting them. Now if they did Food Fighters...
|
With as awful of a customer experience that I've recently had with Megalopolis, the last thing I'd expect is something quality in a toy line out of them. While I love to see niche IPs make comebacks like this, I'd much rather prefer to see them come out of any other company than these jokers. Buyer beware with these guys.

I do slightly remember these. Appreciated the concept but wasn't really into them. Mix of the animals with weapons trend/theme of the time. You know what I could go for a bit similarly with this theme and era? I could go for some C.O.P.S., or M.A.S.K., or Centurions.
|
Not every failed vintage toy line needs a premium collector line revival.
But good for those who want them. |

Those Grossery Gang action figures never appealed to me because it was too cutesy. Giant eyes and slick detailing. I really hoping they stay away from that....if they get the license of course lol. |

I'm in the process of taking it up now with my credit card company...I'll be damned if they get their way. I'll never order from those clowns again...and the fact that they continue to send me solicitations for items whrn they have yet to fill my previous orders (which altogether tally up to nearly 400 dollars) is insulting and offensive... |
These renders make it hard to believe that has 26 points of articulation. Maybe 14 to 16 buuutt.... idk. I suppose if they count dual joints and add points in for weapons.

.... if anything put Centurions with INHUMANIODS. They basically fill the human role. I think the focus, at least for us kids in the 1980s, was the 14" tall monsters! ;)

I ordered a second time, 2 waves of marvel legends. It was to me in 3 days. So I’m half and half. Lol. I did order the mad balls from them. The barnyard figures are not my thing at this point. Plus, I want my first order fulfilled before I prepay for a second one. |
I wonder if not showing the actual action figures is part of the process to see who's gonna pre-order simply for the name, and then showing hard copies before the pre-order dates close to see more whos in it for the good action figure aspect. To keep track of how the fans work.
I'm hoping the neck goes completely upwards so any figure can create the same poses standing on all fours or on just two feet. |
Barnyard updates
A few answers to questions above!:
There are prototype images of Wooly Pullover on the site now. The other 3 will be up around Tuesday and also a Pixel Dan interview shortly that will show them in comparison to the vintage figures and such. As far as bipedal/quadripedal- they actually have a huge range of motion. Each leg has 7 points of articulation, with 2 in each ankle, 2 in each knee, 2 in the hip, and a thigh swivel. They do indeed have 27 POA on the bipeds and 30 on the quads. Brodie Perkins is a masterful sculptor and hides joints very well in the sculpt. We did originally design them to be able to switch between 4 legs and 2 for all characters, but the anatomy flows so drastically different in those positions you ended up with either a very undefined body or one that looked good in only one pose. Comparing the sculpts, this was definitely the way to go. But make no mistake you can get them posed bucking up or crouching down. The articulation is really fantastic. We will send image updates here next week as well so keep your eyes peeled! Questions on the Megalopolis retail side- I don't work on that and Premium DNA is really it's own entity. That said, yes management is aware that shipping speeds have been inconsistent with the current setup, especially during corona virus, and are making a major announcement on that front in October as well regarding partnering with ShipBob. They are the best eCommerce fulfillment company in the game and it will allow for same day shipping with 2-3 day delivery anywhere in the US and perfect inventory accounting. I hope that helps! Appreciate all the questions and feedback :) |

Have to hand it to them, those weapons look amazing.

I have absolutely no idea why ANYONE would preorder from these clowns. They are not able to sell other people's toys so why would anyone think they could produce and distribute their own?! They are apparently incapable of putting an already produced toy into a box and ship it to a customer, so I have no clue how they will possibly pull off creating and shipping entirely new products. This company is completely incompetent and anyone who gives them their money at this point has had fair enough warning so no one should feel bad if they get ripped off. I have zero faith that they will deliver on what people pay them for. They routinely take people's money NOW and dont ship product. Why would anyone expect any different with these lines that no one wanted in the first place (relatively speaking).
|
Yeah these prototypes look great, I'll be happy if they all turn out like that. That being said, still going to order from BBTS.
|
The figures look cool but I have no nostalgia for them. Nice to see these are being made but wish someone else was handling distribution. Megalopolis is worse than Digital River.

Their customer service phone number does not connect to anyone. I just called within operating hours and I was told to email and the phone disconnected. Their social media accounts have commenting turned off. I've been sold items that are out of stock because their inventory system doesn't keep up. And that's happened a few times. My current order is 2 months old. I got canned responses the first few times and the last one I got said my order would be shipped last Thursday. I don't have tracking and I definitely don't have my product 5 days later. They sent out an email saying there would be more pick ups by their shipping partner but that hasn't changed anything from the sound of it. It's certainly done nothing to get my items to me faster. While I agree that in transit time may take 2-3 days if it takes 2 months for them to ship product, what's the point? So I'm curious why you think Megalopolis is the best? |
He pretty clearly says Megalopolis and Premium DNA are two different entities. Maybe owners of Mega have an interest in Premium DNA, but who knows. They're selling to BBTS too, so if they truly owned them, I doubt they would do that.
