Marvel Legends Vintage Symbiote Spider-Man
|
Best ML Spidey ever
|
Hope he has an unmasked head.
|
I know this is Hasbro's way of making me double dip, because what I really want is a Spiderman 3 symbiote suit. I expect that to be announced as soon I receive this version.
|
This is one slick looking Spidey. Love how clean it is. Must-have.
|
They're gonna run this for a tour, then do a full pinless and whatever other upgraded tech is around, and run em all again.
I don't mind the pins in most cases, but for a sleek spandex style suit it works, I think Spidey would benefit. |

I will get this--and I admit if they offer a repaint of it with blue highlights (like the PulseCon Venom) I would get that as well!
|
wow
Wow, that body mold really rocks in black....
|
Sold! Now if only they'd release another wave of the first retro Spidey so I could get him for a non scalper price. The price on him has gotten ludicrous.
|
still no waist twist.

I'm in for one of these. That looks great.

Why yes, Virginia... I AM going to buy another Symbiote Spider-Man!

I think the upper torso does the job. Don't get me wrong, others have made it work but then they sacrifice the ab crunch. So you got figures that have poor torso articulation but they have a clean waist swivel. |
Yes! Just need classic Daredevil on this body mold now.

Inorganic to the form. I'm not saying it looks exactly like a human. When you raise that arm up it either rotates in place or get's tucked into the torso. Still "organic" to me. But when that waist swivel just has to this clean cut and makes a cross, the continuity of the figures form is reduced. I've seen it handled better. The torso to waist is more circular so rotation doesn't create a visible cross. or They might utilize a belt/diaper to hide the cross. I hope none of us are under the belief that these are how human bodies are built or function. |
Go out of my way to buy action figure. Finally acquire and am happy with.
Now figure is somehow "obsolete". New version trotted out with features I don't care about (new ab crunch similar to ugly retro Spider-Man, pinless joints, etc) with inaccurate decor (in this case the white on the backs of his hands). Expected to get excited about it. Meanwhile we still don't have a Toad. Rinse. Repeat. Sorry. I haven't memory holed my Sandman wave Spider-Man. Either of them. |

Personally, I like my Symbiot Suit Spider-man to be bulky. The old one was nice, but too slim for my tastes. In my collection, the old one will be Peter in the cloth suit and this will be Peter in the Symbiote Suit. Also, figure redos like this are needed in the line for new collectors. Legends has been going for a long time. I only got into legends in 2019 and had a heck of a time finding some key figures at decent prices. If i hadn't gotten a black suit Spider-man used at a decent price, this figure would be a must have. Some blue shading would have been nice though. |
The Sandman wave Black Spidey still has the giant McFarlane eyes, so IMO it is not like that version becomes entirely obsolete.
