The Loyal Subjects Lord of the Rings Legolas Sneak Peek
The Loyal Subjects Lord of the Rings Legolas Sneak Peek

Who would say, despite the small size, it looks better than the DST Legolas figure and it even DOES include the pair of elven daggers.
|
They kind of mixed up the accessories for this figure. Legolas is never actually seen carrying his Mirkwood bow while wearing a Lorien cloak, because he received a longer, more powerful, Galadhrim-style bow from Galadriel along with the cloak when the Fellowship of the Ring departed Lothlorien. Prior to that, he did not wear any sort of over-garment while on the Quest of the Ring (though he is seen wearing a sort of poncho at the Council of Elrond, oddly enough).

Looks okay, but Bst Axn made some pretty flimsy figures, i hope the LOTR ones are better
|
The images on the box art look like Legolas from the Hobbit movies rather than the Lord of the Rings. And what's the deal with only the tip of his daggers being silver? The handle should be the only part that's not silver, other than the decorative gold vein design down the length of the dagger.

I'm in two minds about this.. was really excited to collect this series as I've no othe LOTR lines I've collected and this ticks a lot of the boxes of what I like but two figures in they've already screwed up the scale with Sauron being shorter than Gandalf.. Is their Gimli going to be as tall as Aragon?
Really love the look and articulation, but scale inconsistencies aren't acceptable from a property that is big on height differentials of the main characters. |
These guys make awful figures. They come in around $15-$17. I have their BST AXN Gizmo, Gremlin, TMNT (pizza box gray versions and lime green versions), and Gandolf. All are not worth the asking price. The articulation and details are pretty bad. The turtles have joint issues and they're bow legged. Some of their weapons are way too soft like putty. Gizmo paint apps are off. Gremlin's mouth can't move. Gandolf just looks wrong. The 'BST' branding is a joke. It's the opposite of 'BST.' How they stay in business is beyond me.

These toys have horrible headsculpts IMO. I would have bought the Cowboy Bebop Spike if he had an even remotely decent headsculpt, but he didn't. I would rather a toy brand spend all their budget on getting the headsculpt right and then cheap out on everything else if they have too.

those nits don't stand a CHANCE

Looks okay, but from other's experience and having had a few of their figures in hand I agree with earlier posts.
Just been frustrated with not having the 1/12 scale LOTR figures I would want. For the longest time either quality, articulation, face sculpt, scale, and price (WETA products) is what has stopped me. I have a few representations in my collection but not content with most of them. |
Bought their Cowboy Bebop figures- won't go near these guys again until plenty of reviews start talking about how much they've improved
