Savage Crucible Kickstarter
The Savage Crucible Kickstarter has launched:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...avage-crucible Already over $58,000 in under an hour. https://i.ibb.co/kKbs5G5/1e6cc668f0b...4-original.jpg https://i.ibb.co/C0vwptZ/6b5b9b8b25c...0-original.jpg https://i.ibb.co/WFCsH6V/e720df8ba33...6-original.jpg https://i.ibb.co/CMgXxg9/1a17ec7c07c...-h264-base.jpg |
I like that they didnt try to 'correct' the Frazetta warrior by giving him anything less than 8 abs lol.
Fish guys look cool too. |
"Licensed from Frazetta Jr"
So I guess they couldn't get the big boy rights to Death Dealer from Frazetta Girls? I shouldn't be so mean, these actually look really nice. I think it would have been better to focus on one wave at a time so you can deliver a wave to prove you can before trying to fund 3 full waves, but they have already hit their first funding goal so what do I know. Edit: So this was me being a dick, but even more than I thought because Rob Post the owner of Harbinger Studios explained in an interview that he didn't want to start with Deathdealer since everyone focused on that character and he wanted to explore the less well known Frazetta characters. |

Straight from the source
"And no there will not be a Death Dealer in the Savage Crucible KICKSTARTER tomorrow. Yes, it will be a figure released in Savage Crucible at some point but will certainly not be one of the first three releases of that License." |
I’m very, very close to pulling the trigger on these. The “Draconian” (or “Dragonborn,” whichever D&D race suits your fancy) stand-ins, alone, are a significant draw for me. However, the barbarians (Frazetta nods) and abyss dwelling Merfolk (love the Lovecraftian vibe) are also really appealing from a conceptual standpoint. All that said, there’s just something about the sculptor’s decision to go the long and lanky route that’s making me pause. The detail is there, without a doubt, but, even with the side-by-side comparisons to other lines I collect, and despite the competent posing, I’m left wondering how these will look when showcased within mixed set-ups. Then there’s the lycan and the potential for me to fall down another collecting rabbit hole. Damn. It’s as if the Harvinger team knows exactly where my collection’s fantasy gaps are and is using that knowledge against me!

These are very impressive. It's really hard trying to quit/ pull back on collecting. David Icke would be impressed with the reptiles.
|
Actually it's amazing just how fast they got funded.
|
Sooo this is basically another Mythic Legions? McDs vs Burger King all over again.

D Amazing on Youtube has some reviews of the prototype figures which are quite interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuTBI3I0apA |

the name of this figure should be "legally not Conan" |
Ironically out of the dozen(s) of Frazetta paintings used to illustrate Conan Warrior with Ball and Chain never was to my knowledge. But yes he will make an amazing Frazetta style Conan.
Could/should the discussion topic on this subject in the General discussion area be merged into this one? |

Hes just a generic fantasy warrior that was painted for a fantasy anthology. Frazetta only painted about 9 or 10 Conans. And, i think they're actually fair game too. Only they wouldnt be able to call it Conan.

to me he looks more like a boris vallejo conan than Frazetta´s |
More review videos of prototypes.

It gives me more confidence seeing how much work they've already put in. Those prototypes already seem near production level.
