Spider-Man 2099. Our first complete custom. What do you guys think?
Dang that looks great. Once again Hasbro really needs to hire the talent here. At least pay attention to whats being done.
Freaking sweet!
Thanks guys. The red fine lines were tedious but he was a lot of fun to make. He's going up on eBay soon if anyone is interested. I'm spiderman037 on eBay.
Looks good but you forgot his webs.
Awesome job!!! This is one custom I have held off on because I don't think I'd be able to pull it off! Well done and I am jealous!
Sweet. Came out great. I love it.
Yea you know I thought about his webs but his recent appearance in shattered dimensions he didn't have it so I kinda went with it. Looks a little cleaner than having mesh hanging on him. I don't know of a meterial loose enough to really get a good web representation. My wife and i think possibly tadded lace. Any suggestions?

awesome work!!!!!
Alright guys. I'm gong to Joan Fabrics to see about the webbing. Since it's for a Spider-Man figure do I still get to keep my man card? I'll let you all know if it looks good or not. I was never really a fan of string hanging off a figure.
AWESOME....love it
I love the colors!
*high five* What kind of paint did you use?
Thanks! All testors model masters acrylic. We had to use a lot of thin coats to get that shade of blue. Currently trying several cuts of fabric to get a proper web look. Soon as that's done I'll upload picks then it's off to eBay. We have bills to pay!
Quick update: the material we found Rocks! It's kinda hard to work with but it turned out awesome. I think you guys are going to like it. I'll have to wait till Monday for the Canon rebel I borrowed to take good pics.
You knocked it out of the park. Fantastic job on your first custom, man.
That is awesome, nice work.
The colors are amazingly spot-on! Congrats, can't wait to see what you did with the webs.
Hey guys. Camera is on its way so look for updated photos with the webbing this evening. Thanks again for all the compliments!

Here ya go! What do you guys think? This is the best material we could find that even resembles a web at this scale. I personally prefer it without them but it's starting to grow on me. Either way it's not for me. Enjoy and It'll be going up on eBay soon!
Ok Spidey is up on eBay! Item number 120622224108. Thanks again for all the compliments!

I just turned international bidding on for those of you not in the states. Good luck guys. Hate to see him go but someone will give him a good home with lots of shelf space to roam.

Congrats on the webbing, even though I agree with you. He does look a bit better without the webbing, I found one (Toy Biz) a while back for like $.25 cents and this one doesn't have any webbing but it still looks good. Although the webbing does give him a bit of more authentic!
Good luck on the sell and hope to see more!!! |
