Make sure its detailed or else it'll most likely look cheesy, this is pretty cool:
http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kv...wxb8o1_500.jpg Use google images and type in deadpool tattoo or just deadpool for ideas. Is this your first tattoo? |

Looks pretty mean
![]() I say if that's what you seriously want, then go for it. I've got a few tats myself but never thought of doing anything in the comic realm, well with the exception of Heathcliff & Garfield posing in a tiger style stance facing each other. I have the idea on my head, I just have to place it on paper......soon (I keep telling myself that.....) |

Let me see if I can find the tattoos and I will post them. |

gotta go with a big "NO" on this one my friend. I have 3 tats, 2 on upper left arm, one on right. they are all black, simple stylish designs...AND I REGRET THOSE MOTHERF88KERS more than you can imagine. I think they make me look dirty. Girls have said they look hot, whatever. I feel like a reject NBA player or a rock star.
So no man...save yourself, seriously you will regret it. |

These look pretty good, Although I have no clue as to why any one would get a ZOOLANDER tat, wtf was that person on...crack!? Sub-zero looks a bit odd though, but over all they look pretty good. I wish you nothing but good luck on this endeavor!!

As someone who has a full sleeve already. I have a few tips for you/things to consider.
Subject matter is half the battle placement is the other, you need to consider where you want it, how big, the smaller you go the less detailed the tattoo can make it would it looking like crap. If you plan to get a lot of detail/hyper-realistic type you'll need to go atleast half sleeve if not full, or half back. Is this your first tattoo? If so you need to think about a few factors, your pain threshhold, your committment and your wallet. Threshhold for pain is what I mean, tattoo's are permanent and they hurt, depending on the placement it can hurt even more, outer skin is tougher hurts less, inner skin is exposed less to sun and wear and tear hurts more.. so armpit area, wrist, inner elbows, inner thighs, etc hurts more then outer. Commitment, a piece as detailed and as large a picture can take easily 8-9hrs+ worth of work, and depending on the artist and the day you run $100+ an hr, some will charge you for the conecpt work if your iffy on it so you can make sure ahead of time. If you want certain types of jobs there's areas to avoid.. but it's up to you in the end, something your willing to spend few hundred on or more for something permanent. I started my sleeve about a year ago, cost me $250 for the outline that took 6hrs, and then 3 color sessions of about 2hrs each, for $200 a piece, and I'm about half ton,.. getting more done in april on my bday... I got some ashley wood robots along with some fusion inspired animeish girl on my forarm... pics on my site check me out on deviantART: where ART meets application! user blackmarkerstain.. I got pics on there of my sleeve and toys :P , but shop around.. go to shops check their books to see what style you like or who meets your criteria. if you got the $$ and are willing to travel there's amazing artists out there in the us, canada etc.. so if your planning a trip neways or want the best tattoo seek out the best artist... most don't have that luxury, but if I had the $$ I would definatley seek out the best of the best artists to do my work, they'd give me the best result and take the best care and have stories.. and to me that's what a good tattoo is, a story to pass on and a memory to have forever. so good luck with your decision, cheers. |

I don't think you can go wrong with Wade, but it might be better to stick with realism especially if you're going for a lot of detail and/or covering a lot of real estate. For smaller stuff, comic styling would probably be ok (like his logo/symbol). As others have mentioned, it all depends on the artist you pick.
And behindthemask has some great advice on tats in general for anyone thinking of getting one, whether it's your 1st or your 31st. I've got two myself, one on each bicep. One is a color piece and was an "off-the-shelf". It was also my first. The second one is a b&w that I designed and drew myself (the tattoo artist created the transfer and did the actual tat, of course). I decided I wanted my own coat-of-arms, so I made it happen. While it may look a little goofy to some, no one else in the whole f'n world has this tat and I've very proud of that fact. Quote:
