Do people still want this figure? I remember 'way back when' when people were going absolutely crazy about this figure. So I was just wondering, has everyone gotten one by now? Or simply given up?

I could still use one. I have it on my list but have shifted priorities around during the ML Avengers stock. If you have an extra PM me and we can work a trade or I'll buy it outright.

This still leaves the question somewhat answered. I mean it looks like people still need a Shocker, but I don't hear a fuss about it anymore. Was it one of those things that everyone wanted, but then simply started to lose interest? Also, pm'd

I would still like to get my hands on a Shocker, but like others have said, I've never found one at a price that I thought was reasonable.

Is it a safe assumption to think that was the main issue? Price?

Yes, I think that's a safe assumption. Although most people couldn't find them in stores (those not being in Canada and what have you), there have been plenty available on the web. Those that were willing to pay got them, those who weren't didn't, so there hasn't been much buzz about it since then.

Makes me wonder what price people consider too much. I've seen a fair amount of Shockers up here in the last month but it's still $9.99-$10.99 plus $6 to ship to the US. I traded a few of them on here recently so maybe that works better for people.

Well from what I saw from Ebay in the past, people were trying to sell them for $30-$45. And for an MU scaled figure, I couldn't imagine people wanting to pay that unless they LOVED Shocker or were a 100% completionist.

It's based on weight and size. An ML figure in package is usually $10 or so. If you can squeeze it in a bubble wrapped envelope (it would have to be loose to fit) is usually in that $5 - $6 range.

I can confirm that one. I shipped one out of package couple months ago, and it is only around 6 dollars. It is around 9 dollars if ship MOSC.

A lot of people on ebay charge like $20+ for shipping but I think that it cause they want tracking.

I'm pretty sure that's a small trick to get "new ebayers". Sell an item that seems cheap then hit them with the shipping. I doubt anyone would be dumb enough to buy something without looking at shipping costs, but who knows.

I say this a lot because it is good to know how the shipping costs are set up between the US and Canada:

Packages that are over 4 pounds or have a combined perimeter of more than 36 inches are expensive to ship, and require a different customs form than a lighter/smaller package. Once a package hits that mark, they make you ship it Priority so something can go from $10-15 to $30-40.

Yup, I've sold more than enough stuff to folks in Canada to know this is true. It sucks but not really much that can be done about it.

I wouldn't mind having one, as it's better than not having a Shocker at all, but I don't think the figure looks that good. I think it looks bad for a children's Spider-man line.

most are, or sold for, $20 plus shipping. Cheapest one is about $28 shipped right now. And NO one in the US (unless you count PR) has one up for sale. Pretty much says all Americans who have one are keeping them

This seller sold them by dozens, but he quickly raised the price. No oversized gauntlets but free shipping:

I still want a loose one to display with my Spidey collection. Like everyone else has mentioned, it's price that's keeping me away. I have one in my MOC collection.
@m3t4l, marvelkid, iceman - if you have one for a reasonable price (to California) please PM me. I'm interested but I'm not looking to pay ebay prices

Speaking of shipping costs, has anyone else noticed that Ebay is taking a final value fee of shipping costs now? What the fuck? That means they take a cut of sales, a cut for using paypal, and now they hit you by taking a cut of what you spend on shipping labels. I fucking hate Ebay.

I was wondering the same thing since I only sell something every once in a while and randomly owed them $11, so I checked my account activity, and sure enough they charged me a final value fee on each shipping label I printed. Not even just recently, they hit me with a fee on stuff I sold a while back too. Fucking vultures.
