I'm planning on making a new head for Neca's Ultimate "Police Station" assault Terminator that they released last summer. I like the figure, but it has an old head sculpt that isn't as good as their more recent Schwarzenegger sculpt from the Predator and Commando figures.

So here's my question: The Predator head has a light beard on his face, while Commando is clean shaven. I was planning on grabbing Commando, but he's like $40 on eBay, so I figured I'd buy one of the new reissued Predator figures for $25. BUT, I can't tell if the beard on the Predator figure has hair texture carved into the face sculpt or not. Does anyone out there own both and know the difference? If the facial hair is just painted on, I'll paint over it, but if there're texture lines carved in there, I'll buy the Commando.

Thanks.

I had to drag my fingernail down his jaw just to be sure, but it is sculpted. Very shallow grooves, but they are there. Not sure, but 2 coats of paint might be enough to fill and smooth.
