Hey guys, can someone walk me through what I have to do to get the X-Force Archangel? I know that I have to sign up for some online comic service, but what then? A step by step would be great, and I wouldn't mind having the service for a while, there are a few back issues I'd like to read.

I think the offer is over, sorry. I could be wrong though.

I've seen the Taskmaster/Deadpool two-pack listed on Ebay, and it has a sticker on it similar to the "Nick Fury offer" sticker, so I'm guessing it is still available, or will be. I don't know, that's why I asked.

Step by step:

1) Go to the link that was posted above

2) This is key: what you are signed up for is Marvel Digital Comics Subscription for 1 yr. I don't think there is any other subscription you can get that would get you the figure. This costs about$60.

IF you have at any time, subscriped or are currently subscriped, you are not eligible.....from that account . This offer is for new accounts only

In that case, create a new email and sign up with that.

3) After registering your account and paying you will be given a confirmation number, WRITE IT DOWN and a PDF to download, the send away form. If you have problems downloading it or forget, there is a link you can get to that will allow you to download it again OR you can ask me as I have the PDF still

4) Fill out the send away form. It asks for $5.17 in shipping and handling, payable only by check. At the bottom of the form is where you send the letter to.

5) Check your bank account. It took about 5 weeks for them to cash it and another 2 to get it out to me. Your bank account will be the only way of knowing if they got your letter. If more then 8 weeks goes by, there is a number you can call that will help you out.

Hope this helps

I just signed up for the subscription, and immediately after signing up I found a link on the site saying that I had to use a specific link to receive the promotional offer. Not cool. I emailed them about it demanding either the right to quality for the promotional offer or a full refund, and if I get burned on $60 because they use a specific bullshit link to quality, I am going to raise hell.

So sketch about that stuff myself, man. I actually didn't dive in on the monetary grounds, but what about the fact that they just put out the X-Force pack with GREY rather than the initial silver they had used on the X-Force Wolvie and later Warpath figs? You're gonna get a Silver Archangel to go with you're grey X-23?

Really, what I'm saying is, for me I would just try to catch a regular Archangel, save fifty plus dollars and just paint him whatever keeps him in line with my other X-Force figs (for me that'll be gray).

But if you're more completeist or just dig the digital comics, I say jump in. I'm just throwing out an alternative in case you're like me and could not afford the digi comics sign up but still love you some X-Force.

Well I went out of my way to find out the details of what they required for the promotion and still got burned, so I wouldn't recommend this promotion to anyone lacking funds because it currently seems very sketchy indeed. I really didn't like the idea of shelling out $60 for the subscription considering that I'm a TPB kind of guy, but the bullshit I just experienced really pissed me off and I will stop at nothing to assure that I either receive my figure, or they give me back my money. Ridiculous. I wanted the figure mostly for the unique packaging since i already have the regular Archangel, but now I think that was too much to ask of a company who consistently tries to bleed their consumers dry.

OOOOOOOO ouch man. Im sorry.....

Yeah this around they made it absolutely ABSURD to get this figure

First they release him at NYCC then he disappears for like 4 monthes only to come back with about a million strings attached.

I'd say the last thing you could do if they don't play ball is send in your info regardless and see what happens...

OR get a refund and use the link...which I'm pretty sure you were refering to doing anyway..

Well it appears that I may have overreacted, today I received an email with the .PDF and an apology, so I'll be shipping off for it tomorrow. I just wish they hadn't set it up like that, because it was a pain in the ass and really ticked me off at first.

What is the digital service like? Are the comics read through their site or as downloads?
Are the comics recent or only older stuff?

Because of finals I haven't been able to use it much so far, but I can tell you that they let you access old and new stuff, and it is read through their site.

I ordered my subscription and will mail away my archangel form today! I am SO excited for it! The comics are very cool. They run approximately 6 months behind release dates, but I get the comics I want weekly any way. But I barely read any titles any more so this is an awesome way to go back and hit up tons of arcs or books I passed on. I actually really enjoy it, but just hope next years offer isn't something ten times better. Although, since they seem to run the promotion year long, you can wait until this ends and then order again like a week later? Seems logical to me assuming they don't run out of the figures in question!
