Hi, anyone knows if TRU is going to be selling the City Hunter/Berserker pack at their online store?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I keep checking every day but nothing yet. Honestly I'd try to track them down in a store so you can check the paint apps. On a lot of them the netting pattern doesn't match up to the sculpted pattern and it looks terrible. Or if you're not in the USA or with an accessible toys r us have a friend pick one out for you.

I've got one to sell or trade. PM me if you're interested. There was another at the TRU today too.

To answer the original question, I have no idea if TRU is going to offer these on their website. When I last checked there were 6 different Predator figures with two of those being sold out so it appears that they don't offer much in the way of those items online.

The two-pack appears to have been sold well in my area. When I got this set recently at TRU there were quite a few available, at least two dozen. Today when I picked up my City Hunter there were only about 7 or 8 of these left.

If online is your only option in purchasing this set, I've noticed these have started popping up on Amazon. Unfortunately it's being sold at a substantially increased price in their marketplace.

Your best bet if you can't get to a store location, or your local TRU is sold out, is to hit up an Arker (I saw one offer above) for a trade or sale. Like Lord Marvel and TTC said, these are selling quick, I haven't seen one since I purchased mine (and I had to drive 40 miles round trip to get one, my stores got it in and out in a day).

IMO, the set is worth it and a nice addition to anyones Pred clan. That reminds me I need to take some pics of mine, totally forgot.

EDIT: Item number- 262379

I agree, it is a good looking set. But I have seen some that have manufacturing problems, like warped spears or some paint app errors. Some other Arkers mentioned there were problems like two left feet on the included City Hunter in this set.

I was fortunate enough to find one that looked good, didn't appear to have any goofs i.e. two left feet, and didn't have a spear that looked warped. Unfortunately I haven't had time to open it to do a Youtube review yet.

I bought one thinking Arkers would want it, and got nervous when I found another one in the same store today...

It must just be your area, everyone I talk to says the see it when it's purchased and then never again. Don't worry, it'll move. Do you have a account on TFW you could start a b/s/t thread on?

Now to get back on topic, anyone who has this set (or the Boar and City Hunter from series 4) have trouble getting the smart disc to stay in the leg holster? All three of mine won't stay for diddly squat. My discs have been quarantined to the "Drawer of Forgotten Accessories:. lol

Yeah, these are SOLD OUT at TRU stores here. Saw them at X mas time. Grabbed 10 sets and BOOM GONE. The X mas rush did not help either. The initial shipments at TRU lasted about 2 days. And yeah paint appts. on some were bad. I chose only the BEST ones. The best bet is to find someone who wants to help and fork out some cash to get this AWESOME set.

From what I've seen on Youtube this seems to be a common problem. I'm also curious as to how this can possibly be fixed so that the discs aren't accidentally lost.

Since I'm new to the NECA Predator line, how does one get the stiff joints to loosen up so that the figures don't break? Would a product like WD40 or Break-Free work?

See that I don't know. I heard about a "freezer trick" but have never seen it done or tried it myself. Series 3 was the worst for me with crazy stiff joint. With little force, the elbow snapped on the Elder. Luckily for me it was a clean break and was very easy to fix. NECA has seemed to have cleared up that issue with series 4 though, all nice and smooth with just the right amount of stiffness. I think the paint on the joint(s) is to blame for the seizure.

I've heard about "freezer tricks" too with other lines. I'm looking to add an Elder and the Classic Predator from Series 3 to my Shaman, City Hunter and TRU set.

Maybe this review can shed some insight on working with the joint issue(s) that keep popping up:

^ See I tried that too, slowly coaxing the joint back and forth. It worked on almost all of them. I have one on one of my Classics that will not budge. At. All. After the mishap with the Elder, I don't take anymore chances. Strangely enough, the Hound had some sort of lube on all of his joints. Mold release maybe? His joints were smooth as cheeks.

Interesting. Maybe some WD40 or Break-Free might help to get the joints loosened up then.

I don't blame you for not taking any more chances after the mishap with your Elder Predator. These figures are pricey and if what I'm seeing in TRU is any indicator, not easy to replace if a mishap occurs.

Yup. Now with the new articulation adding $3 a piece to the price, I would like them to be problem free. Which wave 4 has been for me so far.

The new articulation is something I've heard a lot of positive things about with series 4. If the overall quality of the product has improved like I've been hearing then I won't mind kicking an extra $3 into the till.

Good for you! Pete's a good guy to deal with so I have no doubt you'll be pleased with your recent acquisition from him.

Ha! Congrats! It's an awesome set, well worth the money. I just told PP on the first page of this thread he would move it, it's a hot set.

Agreed. I absolutely love it. I've never been so stoked for added leg movement in an action figure before lol. The paint work seems to be a spot better this time around too. The Boars skin almost looks wet. I was dubious at first when I found them and looked at the new price but, once I got them home and fiddle about with them (not breaking off any limbs this time is a plus), no regrets. At. All.
