Kree badasses!

I decided it was crimminal of MU to make skrulls but not their hated enemies, the mighty Kree Empire, so I made these...
The idea is to make the commanders of each branch of the Kree's military: Bel Dan is an actual Marvel character (he's in blue and silver- Kree Starforce colors)
...and may be the sole Marvel charcater shown to be as good or better than Captain America in a fight (from FF annual 18 and the Dark Phoinx saga).
I decided to give him a nice warrior's dueling scar on his cheek- a badge of honor!

The guy in bronze and silver is Kolrath, head on the Kree Infantry.

Bel Dan has a lightsabre and Kolrath has a force baton on his leg belt- 'cause if you're gonna be a badass spaceman, you should get a laser-sword, damnit!

I have their last two division commanders almost ready and will post their pics here for your viewing pleasure!

pretty bitchin stuff, dude. makes me wish hasbro made a kree, shi'ar, and skrull 3 pack. that'd make me super happy.

You know, I am surprised that hasn't even been announced. It makes so much sense!

Yeah- that would be an awesome three pack!

I'm making Electron from the Imperial Guard soon- we'll see how much of a pain in the tail that feather hair is!

I have two more Kree coming this weekend- science and scout divisions..maybe another couple of the infantry dudes- I want to use different bucks for them all to reflect taht they're seperate indivuals, more unique than skrulls even when in matching uniforms- like our own military is.

If you get the chance to read that FF annual (18 I think) where Bel Dan and Ras-Korr fight in single combat for a couple of freakin years on the blue are of the moon for the glory of their empires- eventually interrupting Black Bolt and Medusa's wedding!

I think Bel Dan and Ras-Korr could take out Captain America and Batman at the same damn time....blindfolded.

Thanks man! Your's was the inspiration that got me off my butt and actually making these instead of just thnking about how I had all the parts...

I was thinking of taking my Skrulls and giving them the classic outfit...maybe some alternate bucks.
Then having the Kree kill them, of course! Maybe having Bel Dan standing atop a mound of Skrull corpses covered in (Photoshopped) Skrull blood...

Kree are the new AIM for making custom army builder types- if I can find some more Cap line Captain Britians on clearance somewhere, I'll go to town!

The green and silver scout versions will use CB and Red Guardian bucks, I think...maybe add a classic rocket pack or something there. The science/medical guy has a hand held scanner and holstered blaster and uses a Guardian as his base.

You'll like 'em!

Incidently, the background is just a couple of images I got offf a free texture webbsite and printed onto 11x17 cardstock- I love that ground texture- broken concrete!

Oh no...those are custom waterslide decals I made for them.
I could paint that emblem on a flat surface easily enough but not on the curved surface of the fig's chest.

these are really cool. i especially love the one where you have used the captain britain from the cap movie comic series line. looks awesome

Excellent Work Jason! I just told Symbiote at walmart a few days back that this version of Captain Britain would make a great custom for someone...but I couldn't put my finger on it. Can't wait til that Ronan is finished!

Definitely grab those 3-packs when they hit clearance!
Red Guardian's head is the perfect Kree head- though I had chopped off his fin for something else and had to make a new one (pain in the ass that was).
Captain Britian from that set is a great custom base too!

Scott, yes, those are decals I made for the chest emblems.

The pouches on the infantry Kree come from a Renegades Duke vest- those coform very nicely to a upper leg- I may use a pair on the upcoming soldiers- the science guys would need lots of storag for equipment.
Time to hit the greeble bins for equipment belts on the next two...
