Is this telling or what? Both Starman and Red Rocket did not Fly off the shelf. With in hours both Atrocitus and Jay Garrick were sold completely out Starman and Red Rocket have been posted 29 hours and still are for sale. I'm going out on a limb and saying Mirror Master will not sell out either

however, rocket red is an awesome character, his size is wack making him probably the least desirable figure out of the sub, that being said.....he's going to peg warm at matty.com with that $45 price point

Yikes! Not looking good for the sub. Let's see what kind of crap they pull this time in order to get it pushed through like last year. Honestly, I hope it does go through, but it's not looking pretty. I'm pretty amazed that Spikor is still available.

It is because they are aiming at a small market. I even amaze myself that I spend the money I do on these guys. Plus next year prices are going UP [at least for MOUTC, 27$ for non subscribers? Shit son...].

(This version of) Starman is a fairly obscure character, much more so than Jay Garrick or Atrocitus. That's why he's not selling. And for me, personally, he's probably the only figure in the sub that I plan on getting rid of. LOSH just isn't my thing. I could use his unmasked head but that's it.

Rocket Red. . .he's $45 for not-the-most-popular version of RR, and they built him way out of scale. But again, he's $45!!! Plus shipping!

Mirror Master will sell out fast. So will Poison Ivy and Black Mask. Elasti-girl, maybe, but again $45!!! Uncle Sam, maybe/probably. Metal Men, probably.

If they want the sub to succeed, they ought to do 2 figures every two months to cut down on shipping costs.

I agree man. I love RR and Starman [as a figure] is to damn cool not to have in my collection. He is smokey translucent like, its awesome. With his alt head I really want to get a Johnny Canuck custom made...be so damn awesome.

I know I am aiming to get Constantine, Black Mask [for my brother] and MAYBE Poison Ivy is Viking decides he wants to get a Batman thing going. I'm going to be spending an arm and a leg to collect the New 52 figures because I just KNOW Mattel won't make them avail in Canada right away, or at all.

I am counting on you, Toyark..

the Metal men will fly. The reaction at the Matty panel was biggest for them if I was to place a bet 2013 will go through but 2014 wont unless they dangle Doomsday and Killer Croc oversized. As for the rest I will say this. and Mattel you better say so soon:

Mirror Master, Elasti-girl, and Constantine - Last a week then sell out

Uncle Sam - Never will sell out

Poison Ivy, Black Mask, Metal Men - will sell out day one

2013:

Saint Walker, Larfleeze, Wally West - will sell out day one

Elongated Man - Might sell out if he has similar accessories to Plastic man

And FWIW, at BBTS Mirror Master is pre-sold out. So are Ivy and Black Mask.

Atrocitus is in stock. . .

Darn right he won't sell out! He's RED WHITE AND BLUE THROUGH AND THROUGH!

Seriously though, give him some credit. He comes with a second Freedom Fighter so we're partway through the team. They could pretty easily make Ray and Human Bomb. Legacy Classic Catwoman is dying to become a Phantom Lady custom.

Reguardless I am really stoked to add Rocket Red to my JLI, scale or not. As I said in the DC thread, even though he is WAY out of scale, he is a man in a suit, which I keep telling myself and it makes it easier for me to live with lol.

rocket red will be a sweet addition to my collection, i love over sized figures, while he shouldn't be that big, i can use my imagination and make it work for me. Starman is a must...i'm very happy to be getting him, love adding to the ranks of my Legion of Superheroes!!

Another reason these guys aren't selling. . .if you go to mattycollector.com and look at the home page, they state they are "Coming Soon." And RR has the MOTUC logo by him instead of DC Universe.

Ever notice how there are some characters that still look great, if not just okay when they're too big?
BAFs Kilowog, Arkillo, and Bane... DCC Blackest Night Mongul... MP Grimlock (When put with normal Classics/Universe/Generations)
Presumably other characters, like Hulk, and Doomsday would still look good if they were too large, also.

Yeah... Rocket Red is not one of them. It's like making Ironman more than twice the size of other figures just because he wears armor.
I'm glad to have him though Aside from Kilowog and Stel, I have no BaF/Oversize Heroes.. But here's hoping for a more regular sized version of the JLI RR.

Haven't gotten around to looking at Starman yet.
