Since I don't really go up there that much I guess I'm going to go with the MVC3 Spider-Man/Chris Redfield Minimates pack. They were my first Minimates, they're extremely fun and awesome, and they're some of my favorite characters.

I will let you know when I find it. TRU here is the worst! They don't even have wave 2 Avengers figures. But if I had to pick one thing it would be the collectors Indiana Jones Monopoly game (the one in the wood box) for $9.

All those Dark Galactus figures come to mind. TRU is where I found Bastila, armored Savage Opress, Transformers Prime FE Cliffjumper, Unicron, and a few other things I didn't know were rare at the time so I left them on the shelf lol.

Back when I was collecting Star Wars they were the only place to get the last waves of stuff. . .Power of the Jedi green card stuff, before they moved to the blue rectangle cards.

Same with GI Joe POC/30th. A lot of late-wave stuff never hit retail anywhere else (Lifeline, Sci-FI, Law and Order, etc.)

Other than that, it's all been exclusives. DCUC Orion/Lightray and Azrael/Batgirl come to mind.

Unless we can go back to childhood. . .MASK Split Seconds series. I was probably 8 years old and I remember getting them there. That was when we had to drive over an hour to get to TRU. . .I mean to visit family (that happened to live by the nearest TRU). And I am pretty sure that where I got my favorite GI Joe ever. . .Night Force Shockwave.

Since I've only ever been to a TRU once in my life(yes I'm deprived) and that was back in 98, I have to go with one of the two figures I bought that day, an Arnie Mr. Freeze figure from Batman and Robin. Even as a kid I hated that movie, but loved the toyline. They were very top notch for their time, articulation aside.

Sinestro Corps Hank Henshaw. And he was the only DCUC they had on the shelf at the time. Needless to say I was incredibly happy, he is one of my favorite characters and the last I needed from that wave to finish off my Kilowog. Twas a good day.

-'89 TMNT April O'Neil (I was fucking ecstatic.)
-Battletoads bend-ums
-'94(?) Bishop and Beast
-'95 POTF Leia (1st time ever getting to go through a fresh case)
-'98 SW Expanded Universe set
-MP Grimlock
-Deathmask Archangel (which I gave up to a scalper. Still regretting it.)
-plenty other stuff I'm not thinking of.

All manner of early 90's-current Joes, 90's SW, Beast Wars-current TF's, and the best 1st day deals on populr video games of any brick&mortar store.

TRU is great. The trick nowadays is being there at open on truck day.

TM2 Megatron comes to mind, LOST figures and play sets, the reissue TMNT Party Van, and I guess the big Millenium Falcon. Nothing else really comes to mind.

Speaking about Beast Wars i passed on a highly valuable Ravage or "Predacon Agent" circa 1997. Back in the late 90s, my allowance money was split between Beast Wars and Pokemon. That was all 14 years ago....my god.

I remember seeing Alt Swerve too a couple of times. Never got it though, and then it was gone and is now worth a pretty penny.

MP Grimlock
Warpath/Deadpool two pack
Hulk/Valkerie two pack
And a few years back I found like 6-7 Sigma Six Strike Dukes for $5 on clearance. Not rare, but as a customizer needless to say I bought them all for the big light/sound cannon/jetpack.
Found a few harder to find diecast cars too, though I'm only a casual car collector now.

The TRU's around me always seem to be missing the htf figures. I'm not normally a "there's scalpers afoot" kind of person, but I'm pretty sure the 2 TRU's around me allow employees to grab things out of their cases before they ever hit the floor.

That said, I did find Thanos/Warlock and the lifeline wave of Joes at Christmas Eve at TRU. Not the full wave, mind you, but most of them.
