As I understand, the new Shadowlands Daredevil will be a repaint of the original Daredevil whose overly realistic "the Iceman" Chuck Liddel inspired body turned collectors rabid. I'm... not that upset over this, actually. LOL. I'll prepare to duck the rotten tomatos that will be flung at me but let me defend myself first. I haven't been here for that long but people who have read my posts know me enough that they know that I definitely don't pull punches when Hasbro does something wrong but in this case, I feel like they've done something right. They're doing something for the fan who was there from the start. I agree, the body isn't the best, but it's not that bad, really.
And they gave us a Daredevil with a new body for the people who wanted it and they've given us 4 Daredevils with consistent body molds. They made a compromise for both sides. Now that IS something I can get behind. Now I don't feel like I have to throw out my red, classic yellow and brown and dark variant Daredevils! In fact, I'm going to keep them as the Matt Murdoch Daredevils and the new one, I'm just going to pretend is Daniel Rand. I'll even put an Iron Fist flame on his hand. LOL. It's bad enough that the recycled short scale Wolverines have made several of my older Wolverine figures obsolete, that I can forgive as there was merit in that. Now commence tomato flinging as I hide behind an SDCC exclusive Sentinel box. EDIT: Hey wait a second... That isn't the case at all. I retract my comment and I hate Hasbro again. X2 but good post, doesnt matter whether we agree with you or not as long as you have your own opinion and express it to everyone else.
Kudos to you.

Well while we're at it, anyone else think it's REALLY cheap to recycle the ENTIRE A.I.M body for Magneto? Like even the belt is the same. I could live with the suit but when they start recycling belts that have very specific designs, that's just cheap. I hope this is just a "Work In Progress" reveal and they'll either use a totally different body or swap out that belt because the use of that belt is just dumb....

Not to get off topic but im surprised you havent gotten a Vision to do this to it, pure awesomeness.
The new Daredevil looks cool but I wont buy it if its only another repaint. Im tired of the Wolverine, Daredevil, Iron Man, Captain America and all the other Marvel Universe just like most forum members here.

I think it's fine that you like it. To your point, I hate the black Spidy body that they have used for almost every Spidy costume change. That being said I like having all the Spider guys in scale with one-another displayed side by side. But these guys are kept separate from the rest of my MU collection. I personally like the Original Spider-Man sculpt in black and red. It has its problems don't get me wrong but until we get something better, he's the best in my book.
But I would like to point out one posable flaw in your argument. I don't think they used the original DD body sculpt. I think it's the Namor / Guardian sculpt. Now I could be wrong so if any of you guys know for sure feel free to correct me. But if not I suggest taking as close a look as you can so we can figure it out. Tiberius you so funny. |

But I also know how much it sucks waiting on those figures that we love but Hasbro just keeps putting them off. All the while pumping out the same character again and again. But I would rather wait and get it than the line end and never get it. |

I'm going to reserve judgement until I see the Shadowlands figure officially but if it's the old body then i'll pass. If it's a different body, I might consider it but I already have designs on a custom using the new comic pack Daredevil, repaint it a purple/black mix and craft on some Hellboy horns.

Is Shadowland DD the 3.75" DD figure that was shown at the SDCC this year?

It's not easy to tell but i'm pretty sure that's the old Daredevil head on a repainted Guardian body. Custom it is for me then!

Either way I personally have no qualms with this figure. I agree with the OP that the concept behind this figure is definitely a big cap in Hasbro's hat. Look they are putting out costumes which have debuted in the comic world within the last year. How amazing of a turn around is that?! |

Actually, that isn't half bad! Actually has a 6 pack instead of a 4 pack. I gotta find that picture of Antman with Moon Knight to see if they fixed him too!!!

The new regular Daredevil is coming in a two pack with a new Bullseye body as well. I'm happy, that first wave of figures are some of the weakest in the line, and deserve updates.

I'm happy that DD has a better body type since he had a weird unfitting body type when his figure was first released
