Retro 1988 Skateboarding Ninja

Hi!
Has anyone ever seen this toy before? It belongs to my husband, it was his when he was a kid but can’t remember any details about it. It is battery operated and skates around the room, does 360 spins.
I can’t seem to find my info about it online either. Any help would be appreciated.

Theres actually a couple of skateboard figure lines from that time period (like the skateboard gang-your ninja seems like its based on these btw) but this isnt from any of them. Its just a generic cheap 80s ninja on a skateboard that could be found at a small drugstore rack.theyre usually on motorcycles.

Reminds me of this Sungold Skate Machine, although I also remember other generic rubbery ninjas on pullback motor skateboards. Probably a bootleg of a bootleg originally made by Soma or Sungold.
