If you're not into it, fair enough. But Hasbro is leaving my money on the table, and based on how other brands- Boss Fight, Marauder, GI Joe Retro, Hiya, etc- all seem to point that others would buy more quality or unique items, too.

From what I am seeing, here, in this thread, *this* ain't that.
Actually, I forgot about Kingpin! I would love a Marvel Universe quality Kingpin in 1/18th scale.

I am happy to see Hasbro make more Marvel 3.75 inch figures. As expected with any line, they started off with obvious choices to reel in both old and new collectors regardless of age while still adding a rather different villain choice for variety.

This 'retro' trend of both 5 POA and classic comic styled artwork is also no surprise given Hasbro was already introducing the comic call-back with both their 6 inch Marvel Legends line and Marvel Universe Sinister Six (seven with Spidey) pack. Even the articulation reduction creeped in with the 4 inch Marvel Legends/Infinite Series before fading the scale out.

Given that they reproduced the ToyBiz action figure card art, I am surprised they didn't go with Mattel's Secret Wars card art unless there was a copyright issue or that they do not plan to go the Secret Wars route of offerings.

That said, I do hope this line succeeds to produce more waves as I am curious who else will debut next.

Exactly!!

If it sells, they make a hugh profit from shitty figures.

If it doesn't sell, then they'll say.. SEE THERE'S NO REASON FOR 3.75 SCALE.

I feel very disappointed in Hasbro for not having a single woman in this wave. I thought that the toy industry had moved past this type of stuff.

I would complain about these, but they made those pretty awesome 3.75" Gamerverse 2 packs that I think didn't sell all that well. I mean maybe people bought the PS4 Spidey/Mr. Negative two pack, but not the other two.

I’m sure if these take off there will be women included. There were none in the first waves in the 80s. So this is in line. The fact that female action figures sell less....(which is a fact detailed by all brand managers on record) and this line is aimed at an older audience at first....which was use to little to no female presence makes total sense.

That said, I will be interested in hasbro’s take on females in this scale and style. We need to stop making issues where none exist.

Whether or not the things you postulate are the actual reasons for this line not featuring female characters people have a right to express disappointment without the specter of accusations that they are trying to create "issues." What the original poster said was pretty innocuous and, after all, one of the functions of this website is to provide toy aficionados an opportunity to give feedback on toy related press-junkets like this one.

Listen, I’m getting back to toys if I want politics I’ll go that type of site. Being Disappointed because there are no females is on thing. Saying “. I thought that the toy industry had moved past this type of stuff.” Is a very passive aggressive line. We have zero knowledge on why a female was not selected. To accuse hasbro of some sort of patriarch intent is absurd. A lot of people work hard on these toys. They don’t need the cancel culture on them as well.

That's a lot of reading into what was said and you seem to be making a bigger deal out of this than is needed...it's the second time on this thread alone. I don't see the 'threat' here that you obviously do. What I see is someone expressing their opinion (with brevity) which happens all the time on this website and in life. If anything, in my opinion, your lack of tolerance for other ideas is introducing politics into this. People want more women/female action figures, big whoop...

My issue is this weird attack on 3.75 inch scale figure lines. They are supposed to have an 80s feel. Zero issues here for wanting more females. I want them as well. The reasons they are not in the first wave is the issue here. If you can’t see what that statement was, well then we are done here. Lack of tolerance.....for what? Being upset that hasbro is being compared to the man show. Come on dude. Build a bridge.

Wanting more females is one thing. Accusing hasbro of a biased reason for keeping them out of the first wave is another.

The other post early on was ridiculous. Comparing toys to civil rights. I believe the phrase “Karen” is over used, but damn.

You are telling me to "build a bridge," but to where exactly? Opinions about female figs do not equate to "attacks" on 3.75 scale, so that's one non sequitur. It seems you are conflating a number of different issues, while simultaneously fighting ghosts and windmills. Honestly, the Man-Show sucked that's why it was taken off the air, but what it has to do with this situation is beyond me.

But, sure, we can be "done" provided that's what you want...

Listen. We both agree we want cool toys. I will leave it at that. There are to few toy collectors now a days. Nothing is served by pointing out our differences. We need to keep together to keep this hobby from dying.

What mental midget thought these things were a good idea? Just melt these back down and put the plastic into reviving marvel universe.

Hehe, how do you really feel tho?

I get your angle, but I disagree. 6 inch for collector level stuff, this in simple form for quick thought impulse buys. I know everyone doesn't think like that tho.

I think it was said the single carded will be 10 bucks at mass retail, not 100% on that. That's the only thing I think should change. This should be a 5-7 dollar thing, IMO. Not factoring in real world costs and business etc. That's where it would need to be for me to not think 1 bit about it when I see them.

Woof, the paint apps on these are rough. Cap's belt looks like it was Sharpied on and Iron Man looks like his helmet is melting! If these were the hand selected samples sent to you, I'd hate to see the mass market versions that make it to shelves....

They were in a sealed case pack, inside sealed 2 pack boxes, so I doubt anyone looked at that.

That being said, I have no issues with paint here, at arm's length they are all fine for what they are.

The new G.I.Joe figure Scarlett is in high demand now. We surely need more high demand female figures. Especially those who were never made in the 3.75 inch scale.

Yeah I wish hasbro treated its marvel 3.75” figures like the GI Joe’s or Star Wars TVC. That’s where all my money will be going. These retro marvel figures are an easy pass.

Admittedly these are kind of cheap, but there's a reason the MU isn't coming back anytime soon (and frankly might never come back).
