Yeah, if you notice on the card art, the lower part of her outfit looks more like shorts than the classic swimsuit-type outfit

It is said, if not for Kirby, Star Wars would not be. Thus, where would Star Wars Kenner or 3.75 figures be, if not for Kirby? Just like the "Krackle," love to see "Klassic" 3.75 cases, inspired by Kenner plus Kirby...

The Valarian comics were waaaay more of an influence on Star Wars than Kirby ever was

Circa early 70s

^^^ Valerian definitely helped inspire it too. I believe it was written, that the folks behind Valerian, were likewise inspired by Kirby. The latter issues of Valerian even had some nods clearly honoring him. Either way, I hope Hasbro keeps up the good work, on all 3.75 retro.

Same here- and you can easily find one of the three Marvel Universe versions for under $20.

People are presuming the retro line will be inexpensive, but history disagrees- even Target sells the Reaction stuff for $10 a pop.

Give me posability- nostalgia be damned!

On a related note, the live action Masters of The Universe film (Which was very different from the animated series or mini-comics) was heavily inspired by Kirby's New Gods- the director of it has openly admitted it.

^^^ For all that he inspired - a Kirby figure - is way overdue.

I like to see a "One Above All" action figure. Doing so in classic 3.75" scale is perfect - in light of his connection to Star Wars. If possible with the aforementioned Kenner inspired case. Male or female (Jack Kirby or his other half Roz Kirby).…

Wow, that's really surprising that no one has ever made a Jack Kirby figure. Meanwhile, Stan Lee gets a couple. Still getting upstaged by him even in death I guess.....I'm kidding, I realize that Lee's popularity is on a whole other level than Kirby's. But still, doesn't seem right that nothing has been made before.
Always liked that small line of New Gods figures DC Direct made back in the day that were a literal translation of Kirby's artwork. They even have those signature Kirby squiggles on them.

My preference is definitely opposite of 5poa, but that said, a Jack Kirby figure would be a obligatory buy.

I don't get how these seem so popular when I bet if these were MU figures they would be pegwarming probably. Are people just buying these for the card-art?

Maybe it's the Super7 trendsetting toys that made retro cool again.

Hopefully Dorkside will get wave 3 and it will be as easy to order as wave 2 was.

I need a Wolverine and more X-Men after Cyclops in this line.
