This is sort of neat for children. But why not retail them for $9.99? $20 dollars might be out of range for kids on a fixed income (AKA 'allowance') and they also may not want Electro...heh.

First of all there are now more choices for collecting toys than ever. Any scale and any style exists from many different companies. You may not like this but maybe you like a different scale. You get the choice.

Anyway my opinion, I wish they were the secret wars packaging but I’m ok with it. So.....

I've been saying it for a bit, but I know I am not in the majority...

If 3.75 is going to be done, I think it should be simple, 5 poa, and cheap.

The only line that I'd give an exception to - G.I. Joe Modern Era, if they continue on the PoC era stuff and make it a premium experience.

Mid level mass retail without that premium feel - might as well do 5 POA and cheap.

Before 6 inch was done well for most lines, I would not have said this. But at this point, keep 6 for semi realism, articulation, collection. Keep 3.75 for impluse purchases.

I bought a ton of 5 poa Star Wars stuff since the new movies hit. It's a throw away fun thing, leave em sitting around, give em to kids etc.

I know others may wanna riot at this - I don't understand the TVC stuff, other than being tied into it for years and wanting it to continue because one is invested in the line.

I personally would prefer these style figures for new SW characters so that 70s figs and current characters all look same on shelf. Toss em on retro cards, done.

Anyway, these look great for what they are, and I may grab a few. Agreed that single pack 10 dollar or less would be better.

What a slap in the face to 3.75” collectors, especially when they already have the marvel universe bucks they could have used from David Vonner’s time on the line. Oh well easy pass, I’ll keep my cash as hasbro just isn’t catering at all to 1/18 scale these days

Choice is a double edged sword.
The price for 'choice' has gotten so wide that disposable happy meal figures are now being sold as a viable option to fill the void at $20 for a pack.

Some people love that, the whole retro fetishist, and this is fine for those people who will just buy anything that soothes that desire.
But when you look at options in a price point, it's far less.
You want a 4" cowboy? that'll be $30. A Roman Guard? $25.
Ninja Turtle? $50 if you can find it.

Agreed on all points, with the ADDITION that the arms and legs should have a liiiiittle bit of bend to them, or even just the arms if you wanna maintain balance. Just rod-straight arms are kinda boring for playing with

I think these are pretty cool, will be getting most of these for sure. But not feeling the headsculpt on Cap..it looks more like Johnny Walker Cap than Steve Rogers.And wished they used artwork from that era instead of having modern artists try to emulate it.

Figures like this should never be more than $5 and I will stick with being stuck in the past on that.

They lack the Secret Wars "semi-squat" poses. But then Secret Wars wasn't 3 3/4", but a bit bigger.

I'm not a fan of keeping figures in the card or 5 POA type figures but I actually do like these and would possibly consider them to be hung up on the wall still in the card.

Nostalgia doesn't really drive my toy-buying decisions, so I'll be giving these figures a pass. They're neat, though.

As for the people complaining about kids not being able to afford these since they're being sold as $20 2-packs, don't you think Hasbro knows that? These are aimed squarely at grown-ass men. Hasbro is well aware that kids exclusively run around all day long with cellphones and tablets shoved up their asses and don't play with toys anymore.

Exactly this. Aside the GI Joe retro line, they got nothing for me, and that is a trainwreck of quality control and availability.

I've been saying this for years. Hasbro should bring back vintage-style Star Wars figures, but make characters never made before in the original line. Prequel characters. Rogue One. New trilogy. Clone Wars. They would be so neat. They may actually appeal to kids as well, as they'd be simpler. Instead of trying new form factors ever year or so, why not try the original vintage style?

Those are some good M'ber Berries. Hasbro loves peddling it for us old people. Its basically old school ML scaled down and no modern advanced articulation/engineering. I know a few friends who got rid of their old ML collection because of space, I'm sure some might be thinking they're tempted to getting pulled back in with this.
Price point scaling sounds right for them, its bit like the Black Series Baby Yoda, dont like it but well inflation.
