Pointless. For the price, you can get a great Marvel Universe figure of the same character off eBay.

IMO that's only because 25th Scarlett is an obsolete figure and was never updated. I mean that is the sole reason I want one... I have been using Resolute Scarlett with a headswap as my default 3.75" Scarlett, but I prefer one that has her classic ARAH design like the new retro one does.

Just looking at these pics, you kind of get the feeling that Super7 was like "hey Marvel, can we make Re:Action figures of Marvel stuff?" and then Hasbro jumps in and slaps them down like "no, fu*k you, we're the only company allowed to make Marvel stuff--we'll do it."

The only thing I like about these, is the card art. But these are still an easy pass for me. Not everything retro is necessarily a must buy. I also completely disagree with the reviewer's statement about 1/18 figures. Just take a look at what companies such as Marauder and Joy Toy do with this scale, to just name a few. Simply amazing. Hasbro did a wonderful job on GI Joe as well in their 25th/35th 4 inch lines. And even their Marvel Universe series was great, until they started neglecting it and made it way too expensive.

I'm just saying in the current market, with what can be done with 6 inch at this point, I personally prefer 6 inch for the collector level, articulation and accessory focused figs. So if 1/18 is going to be done, don't just duplicate that smaller. I'd prefer a different style of fig at that smaller scale, and stuff like this work. For me. I'm not saying I represent the world with this logic. Not saying the complex 1/18th shouldn't exist. Just saying what I prefer, and why. |

So they're going with "Carol Danvers" instead of Ms. Marvel? Are the other figures from this line also being sold using their civilian names on the packaging?
I can practically see the tag line now...... "Collect all the figures from the Marvel Legends Retro 3.75" series including: T'Challa, Steve Rogers, Peter Parker, Scott Summers, Tony Stark, and the electrifying Max Dillon!!" Give me a break, this is the Real Ms. Marvel. Not the imitation one from the current continuity. Therefore, it's alright to use her superhero name, Hasbro. |

That ship has already long since sailed. It's not the name they use to market Danvers under anymore. I'm more surprised they didn't just call her Captain Marvel.

I know what you mean, however, this is supposed to be a retro figure and Hasbro has always used the "Ms. Marvel" moniker when releasing figures in this costume(Marvel Legends, Marvel Universe, Super Hero Squad, etc.).

I've been saying it for a bit, but I know I am not in the majority...
If 3.75 is going to be done, I think it should be simple, 5 poa, and cheap. The only line that I'd give an exception to - G.I. Joe Modern Era, if they continue on the PoC era stuff and make it a premium experience. Mid level mass retail without that premium feel - might as well do 5 POA and cheap. Before 6 inch was done well for most lines, I would not have said this. But at this point, keep 6 for semi realism, articulation, collection. Keep 3.75 for impluse purchases. I bought a ton of 5 poa Star Wars stuff since the new movies hit. It's a throw away fun thing, leave em sitting around, give em to kids etc. I know others may wanna riot at this - I don't understand the TVC stuff, other than being tied into it for years and wanting it to continue because one is invested in the line. As a die-hard TVC collector, I deeply fear this eventuality. 😬 But even then, TBS will never match 3.75's (TVC plus its predecessors') breadth of OT character representation. 😁 |

Nice line up! These are looking a bit more interesting and have enhanced my interest in the line. However, that said, they're still priced too high, in my opinion.

Honestly between the comics, video games, upcoming tv show and more, Kamala is probably more popular than Carol ever was or will be haha

Hah! They could've saved a few cents and skipped that paint app for her hips and it would've been more accurate to the comic

I believe Marauder, Boss Fight, and a lot of the Kickstarter brands do fantastic 1/18th stuff. And I collected Modern Era GI Joe front to back, had hundreds.

I've organised my collection so that I have important/favourite characters/teams as 6 inch then less important characters as 4 inch. Also customising 4 inch is much easier/less daunting!

If the Retro 3.75 sells (or even fails) perhaps "The Vintage Collection" 3.75 by Marvel can work. Retro 3.75 + TVC 3.75 works well for Star Wars. It can - indeed - will work for Marvel. If the 5 inch line, 6 inch bendie, or others goes by way of the Mashers; then resources should go to more articulation for classic 3.75 figures (Retro or TVC). Marvel Universe 3.75 by Dave Vonner was not all perfect. He improved it with collector input. Likewise herein, there's positive potential to improve.
