I've got quite a few Predators and IJ2 figures and haven't had any problems with breakage. Had a bit of a scare when I got the City Hunter because he had some stuck joints but none of them broke.

I meeeeean it says so right on his roboboob.
This looks breat. But if anyone ever makes a 1/12th version in which the head opens to allow a screen with Cain's face to unfold it would be an instabuy for me. I think the weird height may be foreshortening cause by the angle. |

FUCKING YES, FINALLY. And I just picked up these guys two the other day, so this announcement couldn't be timed any better. Looks like Robo's going to be having a 2-way battle soon.

"Cain! Cain is bugging me!" I don't know why, that line always cracks me up.

Their QC was absolute crap with the early Alien figures (frozen limbs that broke if you looked at them), but they've gotten SO much better since then. Their recent Predator and Robocop stuff is totally fine. ED-209's design has about a million different ways to fuck it up but Hiya got it perfect. Or that little nuke grabby thing that comes out of his chest, lol.

I mean, look the picture I posted above of my ED-209 and battle-damaged RoboCop 1 figures. They both have zero QC issues whatsoever. ED-209 is basically the NECA version shrunk down to 4-inch scale in every way. Very impressive.

I believe so. The Kotobukiya one was static, as was the Chronicle statue

Yeah, I don't recall an articulated Robocain ever being made before. I hope those legs are sturdy to compensate for how insanely top-heavy he is or he's going to topple over a lot. But after how well their ED-209 turned out, I have new faith in Hiya.
That said, their PR jingle for Robocain talks up the fact that the figure is supposed to have tons of articulation: Quote:
From Hiya Toys. A PREVIEWS Exclusive! A violently insane criminal that is hopelessly addicted to a highly-addictive narcotic known as NUKE, RoboCain from Robocop 2 comes to life in 1/18 scale from Hiya Toys! This RoboCain figure features incredible articulation and detail for a figure of its scale. Be sure to add this 1/18 scale PREVIEWS Exclusive RoboCain figure to your collection to recreate the action from Robocop 2!

Will the two extra arms curled up over his shoulders be articulated? What about his battering ram left arm? Does he have his shoulder cannon? Can't wait to see how this turns out! |

I'd like to know more about the electronics. I'm guessing it will just be sounds and no lights.
For anyone that thinks Cain's legs are too short, you should take a look at the film again. Hiya did an accurate build, so far as I can see. |

I like the looks of it but i wosh it was bigger. If it was in the 6 inch figure scale i would so instantly buy it.

From around 10 years ago, this guy did what is probably the most impressive custom build I've ever seen.
He tracked his progress here: https://robotjapan.proboards.com/thr...n-custom-build and here: https://www.ukmonsters.co.uk/robocain/robocain.html |
